Guest guest
This woman really needs some help. Since so many of you are in her general area I hope someone will contact her directly. Subject: I really need your help From: inkheads@... (Dave and Schwarz) Some of you know my story (you've lived it). Quick recap ‹ canoeing vacation in northern Minnesota last June. 2-4 weeks later, fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness. Positive pregnancy test. Start running into doorways, fatigue worsens, neck stiff, muscles twitch and tight, brain fog, buzzy feeling. September: Severe pelvic pain. Miscarriage. Coupla D & Cs, three hospital stays. December: Still feel cruddy, getting worse. Low-grade fevers, nausea, absolute loss of appetite (once went four days withour eating) numb limbs, vision problems. Docs say stress. Getting still worse. January-February: Referred to Mayo Clinic. Dozens of tests over several weeks, saw neurologist, rhuematologist, gastroenterologist, cardiologist and internist. " There's nothing wrong with you. " Told to take antidepressants and Tums. March: Pretty sure I'll have to quit my job, can't think. Start researching on my own, thinking MS. Lyme makes more sense with clear MRIs. Go to hometown doc, ask for test. Negative. Told to get pregnant again to help with mental stress. Joint pain, absolute neurological malfunction. Miss weeks of work. March: See hometown doc again, ask for abx. She complies, mostly to humor me. I feel much worse, then much better. April: Go back for more abx. She complies again, believes me. Late May: finish abx, but still having some syptoms. She's scared of side effects of long-term treatment, refers me to infectious disease specialist with " interest " in Lyme. Direct quote from infectious disease guy last Friday: " There's nothing wrong with you. You've had a thorough going over, and we just don't know of any antigen that doesn't respond to the amount of abx you've been on. Get pregnant again, and send me a picture of the baby. " Here's the question: He's sending his opinion to my local internist, who's already running scared from prescribing more antibiotics. I don't think she'll give me any more. What now? How can I be treated when the only person who will listen is scared to treat me, and the only people she'll believe don't believe I'm sick? ANYONE with a LLMD's name in Minnesota ‹ please help!!!
