Protection of our Lyme docs

Someone just mentioned how our doctors need to get together to fight the

institutions that are going after the Lyme docs. This reminded me of something

I've been telling others about personally but haven't shared here on this list.

I want to share it with all of you now.

Currently there is a large contingent of doctors, medical professionals, and

every day citizens who disagree with the HIV = AIDS theory. The few individuals

who spoke out about this in the late 80's ( Duesberg, Kary Mullis) were

persecuted similarly to the way our Lyme docs are being persecuted now. But

once they formed a group with a large title, " The Group for the Scientific

Reappraisal of the HIV-AIDS Hypothesis " , and increased their membership, they

began to protect themselves a little bit more. It was no longer just one doc

with a weird way of thinking. It was a group of physicians who have an

alternative way of thinking. And they now testify in court cases all over the

country promoting their opinion. And their opinion is catching on. Of course

the NIH and CDC is fighting them all the way. But they are gaining ground! I

think our docs need to do the same thing.

If you want to see more about how our fight parallels the HIV does not equal

AIDS fight see the following web sites:

Now I know many of you will disagree with this group's theory that HIV does not

cause AIDS. Please don't let that cloud what I am really saying here. The fact

is that these docs have been pushed out of the mainstream by the NIH and the

CDC, despite being allowed to publish their studies early on in the debate. But

they are now gaining ground and membership. This could not have been done if

they would have stayed quiet and dealt with this issue as individuals. As a

group, as an organization, they have power. They also have the respect by many

in the medical community now. A community that used to call them " quacks " .

I know they aren't where they want to be yet. Of course they want their

thoughts to dominate scientific literature - just like us. The important thing

to realize is that they have now found some protection by going public with

their names and ideas. I think our Lyme docs need to do the same thing. They

need to speak out and band together. Until our doctors are willing to do that I

don't believe we are going to see much improvement in our situation. The

important thing to remember is that IT CAN BE DONE. And we will support our

doctors any way we can when they do decide to go public.
