Would that it were true - antibiotics for weight loss - we'd all be mere

sticks!!! <G>

I had read about this months ago, and was hoping that something helpful

had come of it, other than drinking lizard blood as a vaccine that is!

UGH!

Kay, I know it may be little consolation right now because it's the

present that's of primary concern for you, but I wanted to tell you

that I have a dear friend who has a son and daughter, both of whom were

born with congenital Lyme. Her daughter, who had a lot of psychiatric

Lyme symptoms, is now a practicising psychologist or psychiatrist. And

although her son was so physically ill that he was unable to even attend

school until his last year of high school, he just graduated from an

excellent collge and is beginning post-grad studies at a very

prestigious college - ON SCHOLARSHIP! He is brillant, has a great sense

of humor, very down to earth, and wants to teach math.

So please don't lose hope - I truly believe that Meredith will get

better and will eventually catch up on so much of what she's missed.

You're a very courageous woman and Meredith is very lucky to have you

for her Mom! :D

Hugs,

Patty

Dabs

Dabs,

I think I remember hearing that Amantadine is used in Lyme treatment

because it aids the body in absorbing antibiotics - helps abx to get

deep inside tissues, and, I think, helps the abx get through the brain's

blood/brain barrier. I've read that many Lyme sufferers use Amantadine

for this purpose.

Hope this helps. :D
