Guest guest
Hi all, I dont write much, and unfortunetly havent had time to read alot of posts either. CHance is in physical therapy 2 times a week, summer school, and counseling 2-3 times. Too much going on. Gretchen asked me to write you and tell you about the testing I went through, over and over again. Before I begin though, thought Id let ya know I am officially a CMTer now too. Ok, first of all when mom (cat926) had her DNA test, the test was blotched and she had to do it again. Then when they took blood from Chance low and behold, wrong test so he had to be tested again. 2 yrs later I finally get off my but and decide to be tested. The doctor ordered the tests in Feb, I went to the hospital and gave blood (I hate needles). My insurance hadnt Oked the EMG until April, so in April I made an appointment to get the DNA test and the Emg test. Chance was sick so I didnt get a chance to go have the EMG, so I asked the doctors office to wait to read the tests but I wanted a copy of the DNA test. Chance had an appointment with the dr, so I picked up my paperwork then. I dont know how to read these bloodtests, but saw it said negative. I was shocked and asked the dr about it. Come to find out it was wrong test, the secretary at the drs messed up the paperwork. (I dont have a bloodclotting disease........) So I goto hospital again, and wait 6 weeks and get my appointment with dr. Once again, I dont have this " bloodclotting " disease????? By this time I am ticked. Not a happy camper at all. I went off on the doctor, who in turn told his secretary to find out who messed this up this time. So I go to the hospital again, and this time I tell EVERYONE there to double check everything they do. The hospital and dctors office blamed it on Athena the last time. Anyway finally, after, many needles and trips to the hospital, the doctors office, my DNA test came back positve. Emg came back abnormal. Chance was with me when I got the tests and he starts singing some song (Im not the only one, Im not the only one, were all messed up, were all messed up)....right in the drs office. It was too funny. Anyway sorry for such a long story. Just wanted to let any of you who are planning to have DNA test, check, check, check. 3rd time was the charm, but I really wouldve liked to have not gone through all that trouble.
