Guest guest
Have you tried eating nuts? They are a great source of good fats, nutrients and calories. robi > > Most of the Lymey Hardliners suggest a virtual vegan diet: NO ANYTHING! > but veggies.... > > I am already anorexic from the desease, and cleansing makes it even > worse....If I get any thinner I'll blow away..... > > How do you get fat on vegetables???? > > > RHONDA >
Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, we are not totally vegan but we drink lots of almond milk made by grinding soaked raw organic almonds in water and blending them and straining out the pulp and also we consume avacados, coconut, walnuts. I do, give my daughter Makayla, good quality fish oils as well. I am a believer in wild salmon but she won't eat fish. She wants to be 100 percent raw vegan but I give her Premier research cod liver oil caps for her brain and nervous system. If you want to fatten up....try making almond milk and then adding frozen bananas, dates and ice cubes and blend ...top with fresh ground nutmeg. It's my family's favorite and full of potassium. Makayla is on salt/c as well as herbs and needs the potassium. My best, (Makayla'smom) jayrho74 <jayrho74@...> wrote: Most of the Lymey Hardliners suggest a virtual vegan diet: NO ANYTHING! but veggies.... Guest guest
Yeah, but their digestive systems are different. Like bats eat insects. Just playing with ya! Guest guest
, you are absolutely correct. Horses are able to digest many types of fiber. We are not. They break it down into fats and use it as an energy source. Even the act of digesting fiber produces heat, which warms them in cold weather. We simply pass it on through and keep on shivering. There is really no comparison. Apples and oranges. Domestic horses eat a heck of a lot more than grass. Mine get legumes (alfalfa, vetch, clover), vegetable oils, vitamin and mineral supplements, some vegetables and fruits, and if necessary for weight gain, various grains. Currently one gets grains (he's a rescue pony - a starvation case) and the other does not. They get very little fresh grass - quite a bit of dried grass (hay). Guest guest
No, they all don't eat just grass. Some will remain fat on it, especially in the spring, but many others need supplement feed especially if working or they loose wgt too. I own 14 horses and I have to supplement on some of them and others I don't. My suggestion is you eat more things than just veggie to get your wgt back. If you aren't a healthy wgt then it is hard on the immune system. Re: [ ] SPINACH ANYONE? Have you ever looked at a horse? Guest guest
If anyone goes on metal detox, it seems veggan diet MAY be a problem. Unless you eat eggs, for example, or lots of nuts, fish, good oils. I suppose veggans eat no animal product at all ?? I was never a meat fan, but CRAVED for fatty things, proteins, eggs, whatever, while on metal detox. Dr. K. explains why in his neuraltherapy site. I thought I was getting nuts! I still crave a lot for minerals and fats while on metal detox, it's a very strong reaction. If not on metal detox, I dont' feel I'm starving. It's something that varies day yes/ day no (as I'm doing metal detox every other day). In the beginning, I tried to eat anything that was in front of me to stop the craving. It didn't work, I felt I was starving. After reading the site, I tried the approach high protein + high minerals. It worked like a spell. But just while metal detoxing. If not, lots of veggies seem to be work best. Selma
