Guest guest
Posted on the Lyme newsgroup Subject: GETTYSBURG RALLY UPDATE From: <rapNOraSPAM@...> Date: Sat, 01 Apr 2000 08:16:48 -0800 Hello Friends, Following is an update and recap of the agenda. Please note the changes. Saturday April 8 (only a week to go) Gettysburg, PA 1-4 PM Lincoln Square - Rally in the square in front of the Gtbg. Hotel (have a feeling the whole square will be involved!) Present and speaking will be Dr. Orens, Pat of LDANJ, Sen. Rick Santorum, Congres. Joe Pitts, Gov. Ridge, Arlen Spector and the Mayor of Gtbg. GW Bush will not be attending, he will be in another state. Dateline will definitely be there (rooms are booked!) as well as other media. The media event is to start around 2PM. The intent is to put a face on Lyme Disease and to create public awareness and education. We are asking that participants make a 2' by 2' quilt square with a 16 " center and 2, 8 " ties at each corner. (I have a number of people mailing me their quilts who are long distance, but would like their numbers to be taken into account, please send me your quilts everyone!) Depict yourself and/or this disease in whatever way you choose - our entire group is making them, and they are all quite unique!! -- T-shirts are available and they look great!! The cost is around $5.00. You can pick one up the day of the rally or you can contact Donna at white@.... Please feel free to bring a chair, or simply pull up the sidewalk!) 4-6 PM - Symposium (please note, the location has been changed for seating purposes) Gettysburg College Chapel. Moderator Dr. Arlene Bobonich. Speakers will be Dr. Harold , Dr. ph Burrascano, Jr., Dr. Nick of Igenex Labs in CA, and Dr. Virginia Sherr -- Now that's a spectacular panel!!!!! 6PM-??? - Everyone is invited to the Mott Farm which is located 4 miles W. of Gtbg on Rt 30 (also named Chambersburg Rd) the street number is 2389. Catered Food, DJ, Camaraderie, Fun and a Heated Pool!! You will have a chance to meet hundreds of Lyme victims from all over the country, and a chance to speak with our Symposium panelists as well as other Lyme Literate physicians who will be in attendance. All events are within a short driving distance. Gettysburg is a tourist town, and if you come in early or stay late, there are a lot of things to do, ie. ghost tours, carriage rides, monuments, museums, batttlefield tours, etc... WE ARE VERY EXCITED THAT SO MANY ARE COMING!!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE TERRIFIC!!!! ARE WE READY FOR THE SECOND BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG?!?!!! ARE WE READY TO RUMMMBLEEEEE...?!?!!!!!! LET'S STAND UP TOGETHER AND HAVE OUR SICKLY LYME NUMBERS COUNTED!!!!!!!!..... Thank you for your time and participation!!!!!!
