Note that " LLD " Means " Lyme Literate Doctor. " Sometimes that's also

abbreviated as " LLMD. "

It is possible to be " seronegative, " that is, to have your bloodwork

show up negative, even when you DO have lyme. It is also possible to

have other tick infections besides Lyme, such as babesiosis and

ehrlichiosis. You should be tested for those, as well (and most

doctors don't routinely test for these.)

Contact the Lyme Disease Foundation at lyme.org to request a

referral. They may charge a small referral fee, but it's worth it.

If you have received hundreds tick bites in your life, and you feel

lousy, there's a GOOD chance that you have lyme.

This will be an excellent starting point for you

your own 'hunches' are right. I was MISADIAGNOSED as having

FMS/CFS/CFIDS four years ago....health took another dive..got tested for lyme

disease BINGO...my answer of why suddenly ill....every fellow patient i know

with the DX of FMS/CFS has tested positive for lyme disease !

find a lyme literate doctor...i think there are people here from your

part of the country.that could refer you.....MANY MANY patients of these

'syndrome' diagnosis are now learning they have lyme disease...in most cases

it is now late-stage....

this is the reality of what is really going on....

There is a physician in Cape Girardeau who has presented at many Lyme meetings

and is

apparently quite knowledgeable about LD or something that resembles it.

His name is Ed Masters. Contacting him directly or through the Lyme Disease

Foundation would

make a lot of sense. If seeing him will not be feasible, though the ride to the

Cape

shouldn't be all too bad, he may know other physicians closer to your home.

Good Luck.

Bea,

Thanks for the info. I've heard that Dr. Masters is one of the best.

Unfortunately he isn't accepting new patients. I found a doctor in Branson,

MO and have an appointment in a couple of weeks.
