Guest guest
, if you react allergic to andro or any other herb, you'll probably have many side reactions. I react strongly in my head with some herbs (like boneset), I do feel 'high', spacey. This means allergy for me. Sometimes, I react with redness in my tongue (a burning sensation), other times, with this spacey feeling. Now I just read that kidney pain could also mean an allergic reaction. I get this with some supplements... I guess, different things could cause different allergic reactions. Rash is another. Be careful with driving! Guest guest
I have had cognitive problems, at times, but I wouldn't blame the Andro necessarily. I blame the Lyme Disease. I even put on the wrong turn signal once, and didn't realize I had done it until I turned it off. I got where I was going, stopped in the ladies' room, and found I was covered in a rash. I was flushed red from head to toe, with a more blotchy rash on my abdomen. Since Buhner says andrographis is the most likely culprit for causing a rash, I discontinued it, and kept right up with all the other herbs. By evening, I felt normal again - no rash, no flushing, and clear-headed. I even took my horse for a riding lesson, and I didn't completely s*ck. (I've lost a lot of coordination and tone and muscle memory and balance, so I'm kinda starting over.) So, for now, I'll stop the andro. Maybe in a few weeks I'll try adding it back in lower doses, and see how I do. Anyone else have cognitive problems with andro? If it weren't for the rash, I would have just blamed Lyme. But without the andro, I feel fine. D. --------------------------------- Don't pick lemons. See all the new 2007 cars at Autos.
Guest guest
I also had cognitive issues that were relieved once being off andrographis. I also had the conclusion confirmed by others. It is a side effect. I didn't get a rash though. And I never dared to stop taking it to avoid the side effects. Congrats on the horse ride..... : ) > > Yesterday I was driving, and for the first time in a very long time, I > was spacey. Guest guest
That's always a possibility. If it were cognitive problems alone, I'd go with Lyme. But along with a head-to-toe rash and flushing 40 minutes after taking the herbs, I think it's more likely to be a problem with one of the herbs. Stopping the andro stopped the flushing and rashes, and my mind has been nice and clear. So I think that was the problem. Time will tell. D. " R. Guest guest
You could very well be right. I don't know IF the reactions to the herbs are that fast, but I guess in some people it could be. I know my self, I rarely get BAD problems from herbs. Like I was off of Devils Claw for about a month and my vision was really bad, along with cognitive problems. I Started my first ONE of Devil's Claw yesterday at 4:15 p.m. and by 7:30 p.m. my VISION was really good. NO blurring, very sharp and brighter. By 8:30 p.m. it was even sharper and SUPER bright. Man it was like a miracle again. Today I will take two " 0 " size capsules and hope this continues. Hope you can get positive results from your herbs like I do. You might TRY Plum Flower Brand as they don't adulterate their herbs with preservatives like a lot of other companines do. I refrigerate my herbs from them once I opne them. Guest guest
Allergies typically manifest as rashes, itching, sneezing, or wheezing. I've always attributed the " spaciness " in the head as being due to a brain herx...a result of the release of toxins in the brain as Bb is killed off there. Same for brain fog. Spaciness and/or pain alone are not indications of an allergy.
