Guest guest
Hi Marta and Everyone, I have felt absolutely crazy!!! I mean really, I tried to drown my picc-line arm...thats pretty crazy....and I have these fits of rage. You know that depression questionaire...well I scored a 40. I know I'm depressed and have a psycho-therapist and psychiatrist....who are in contact with me. So I will be o.k....But this is true HELL! I had that minor surgery today. That was painful, no one said it was going to hurt!!! The polyp is out and they sucked - and I truly mean sucked out parts of the lining of my uterus to do the biopsy...(Nurses terminology when she was explaining the procedure) - she also said you will experience cramping during the procedure....it was a little more than cramping...they kept telling me to breathe so I could endure the pain.....OUCH!! Fortunately the pain was of a short duration....(How did you mothers out there have more than one baby?) All will be sent off to the lab, and I should know in a week.....Of course my gyno. said she didn't expect any problems....but we will have to wait and see. Even though my blood work came back normal for my hormone functioning (I'm not going through perimenopause) she feels the lyme is causing a malfunctioning with my hormones...causing me to start shedding tissue when I start ovulating. ...we will try to straighten it out, once we get the test results back. Well, I need to go hook up the abx....thanks for your concern...I will make it through this. My mom came up from Somerville....and drove me there....thank goodness for moms....she also made me a nice stew....I need to go back and lay down and put my legs up. Tomorrow will be a long day on my feet. Thanks again, Connie nwnj
Guest guest
Hi Connie, So glad this ordeal is over, I was really worried about you. I am so happy your Mom came up to help you out, yes, Mom's are great, I was crying for my Mom yesterday (another story, I'll post to the list). Unfortunately, she cannot come when I need her, as she cares for my Dad who had a stroke. Not surprised you got such a high score on the depression test, I hope you will heed the test's recommendations, and I am glad you are seeking help. Not a good idea drowning your PICC line, but since I am having so much trouble with my port, I can identify. I know I had the surgery done under anesthesia to have my polyp removed....didn't they knock you out???? I BET it was painful. I did have the minor (?) cramping in the recovery room, but did not feel too bad when I got home. I remember the nurse put ice on my abdomen when I complained, and I was amazed how fast it stopped hurting. I am just so glad all this is over for you, I hope you stay home from work today if it you have any pain this morning, if you don't you will sure feel it when you come home and may have to stay home on Wednesday. Thanks for writing back so quickly, and letting us know you are OK, there were lots of prayers for you yesterday, they must have helped you.
