dear deanna,

please see pages 170-171 of buhner's book for his suggestions.

personally, i've found that methylcobalamine injections help. i use a

compounded version based on dr. teitelbaum's formula. about 0.1ml, 4 times a

week. i vary the dose based on symptoms.

last year, when even b12 and other supplements were not enough for the

paresthesia, my doc prescribed cymbalta. i not sure that really helped me,

altho doc wanted me to increase to twice dose what i'm taking. been hesitant

to increase (partly just don't want that much drug, also concern about

cost).

when i temporarily stopped the buhner herbs in december, the paresthesia

symptoms suddenly got very intense and frequent, so it seems to me that the

buhner herbs were also helping reduce the neuro symptoms. symptoms usually

come in waves, mostly across my face and hands, upper body. curiously, today

was very intense, almost nonstop all afternoon. just settled down about 2

hours ago, so i could use computer now.

i'm happy that you are ready to read buhner's book--it's a goldmine. have to

continually go back and reread because so much info. this protocol has been

most helpful overall to me than anything else i've tried. i hope you will

find some relief too.

One of the most deblitating symptoms I'm experiencing is burning, stinging,

sensitivity, with excessive heat in my feet.

Antibiotics made things worse for me. I had and have done better with just the

herbs.

Maybe once you do a FULL COURSE of the herbs, WITHOUT any abx, you will feel

better too.

Nothing is perfect, but you need to give things a try, DIFFERENTLY, than what

you did before.

Start out REALLY SLOW on the herbs. Like only ONE PILL A DAY. Do this for a

few days, then add ONE PILL of another herb into the mix. It may take you a

month or more to get up to your maximum protocol regimen, but it is the best way

to go. Go even SLOWER than Buhner recommends in his book.

Especially IF you are highly sensitive to any kind of medicines.

You won't do perfect every day, but hopefully you will continue to improve.

I sure did. I DID have setbacks, but overall much better.

Jim.

Do any of the Buhner herbs, or herb combos do particularly well in

eradicatinng these nerve symptoms?

I'm really regressing in healing with Lyme. I'd taken abx for two years and

a combo that included Flagyl really helped the brain and nervous system

symptoms. My body won't tolerate abx anymore.

I've recently started regular Rife treatments and do use one resveratrol

capsule a day to help with brain clarity. I also have a bottle of

andrographis and smilax on hand (been open about a year) from when my doctor

suggested I try them. I got jittery reactions to both, so stopped.

I guess the upcoming long weekend is a good time to read the Buhner book

from cover to cover and get serious about trying something.

Because of the neuro symptoms, brain fog, not caring, depression, I've just

about lost my income and ability or interest in working. I really need to

do something soon.

Thanks for any info you have about any of the Buhner herbs and any or all of

the neurological symptoms.

Thanks,

Deanna
