I am soooooo glad that you are feeling better! If working part time will make you feel better about yourself, I say go for it! Just make sure you don't put yourself in a situation that would cause undo stress, and don't push your body's energy! I know that when I get out more I feel better emotionally and physically too.... I hope you continue to feel good!! {{hugs}} Jane

Guest guest
, When I first started treatment with Lyme, I try to hang in there at work, after two months, I gave up and went on Medical Disability, supposedly for a few months. After 4 mos I felt ready to go back, was off antibiotics and felt almost normal. I started back part time, after only being off antibiotics for two weeks. The third or fourth week I had a terrible relapse. I hung in there though, and after two months back on part time work, I once again gave up, I had no more cycles, just all the time feeling bad. I have been back off for two months now and I'm getting ready to start back on abx's again. Been waiting to do another WB, etc. I don't want to discourage you, and will say, while I was back at work it helped my depression a lot. I felt like at least I was attempting to live again and use my brain. I think you should try it, put go slow and don't over do things, take one day at a time. It also helps tremendously if you have an understanding company, like mine. If not, it could be more stressful. Good Luck and I'm so happy you are feeling good, I truly hope it is forever, please understand my pessimistic views, been there, done that, had my hopes way up only to come crashing down. But everyone is different, hopefully you are one of them. JUST REMEMBER, don't over tax yourself, physically or mentally. Be well. Guest guest
, I think that's a wonderful idea, give it a few weeks to make sure you don't relapse, and add a little activity every day. Right before I went back to work, I started on the tread mill 30 minutes everyday, and felt okay, but like I said, then I crashed. I really hope you do well, I miss working and feeling alive again. At least you are young and have a chance for a good healthy and productive life. I'm not old my all means, but older than you, and was just at the beginning of dreaming of a life with just me and my husband and no children. Not that I didn't enjoy all I had and still have with my children (only a twelve year old at home now), but you make plans for your life, and then something like this interrupts its. Maybe there is a lesson in it somewhere, I can't see it yet, but I quite certain, one day I will. Good luck Vicki Re: [Lyme-aid] Work part time >From: Prinny328@... > >In a message dated 10/24/99 1:06:18 AM Eastern Daylight Time, >ferraroa@... writes: > ><< try it, put go slow and don't over do > things, take one day at a time.
