Hi Jnanda,

Thought I would tag onto this message.

I know you're doing salt/c as well. Do you have a sense of how the two

protocols are working, what is doing what? Is salt/c your main

protocol? If so, do you consider the herbs adjunctive therapy for

certain problems?

Thanks,

Ballady.

Ballady -

I started on the herbs before salt/c, and the salt/c protocol I have

been doing just over three months now. I have been taking herbs for

years, and have been studying ayurvedic medicine and herbs for

several

years. I never take prescription or over the counter medicines for

anything. So that's a little background. Plus I also do a lot of

homeopathic remedies.

My lyme and co-infection treatment is salt/c, herbs, homeopathy and

rife basically. I feel each of these modalities are important, and

provide their own unique benefits.

My intuitive feeling is that taking herbs does not drive the lyme or

co-

infections deeper into the body, and will not hamper progress or

recovery.

I feel by especially doing the lyme and co-infection herbs along

with

the salt, that it is actually speeding the healing along, and will

be

faster for me, than if I only did salt/c alone. I feel I personally

need the herbs to help the body with the burden of this infection.

I do not herx on Samento or Cat's Claw, and actually I'm using the

whole herb now for Cat's Claw. It makes me feel better, as opposed

to

worse. I also have recently noticed that by taking extra Chuan Xin

Lian

(The Plum Flower Brand combination pills that contain Andrographis,

Isatis, and Dandelion), it relieves my herx symptoms. I take a lot

of

this combination daily, and just ordered a case. I also take

Andrographis seperately, in a daily mixture of powders.

I make up a daily mix of powders, which I take two times daily, and

often three times daily. I mix varying amounts of Cat's Claw,

Stephania

Root, Andrographis, Resveratrol, Smilax or Sarsaparilla, Gingko,

Yucca,

Ashwagandha, Myrrh, Atma Gupta (can't remember the other name for

this,

it comes from Dr. K's protocol), and Maca Root. I also take the

Allergy

Research capsules, Arteminisin, 300 mg daily and I am going to stop

this herb for a while, and if I add it back in, I'll just use the

whole

herb. I also take Neem, but am on a break from it. The Neem

definitely

causes a herx for me, I think mostly it has been killing off the

Babesia. Chlorella and Spirulina for me, are more like a food, as

well

as Maca - and they are my current major source of protein. I am

eating

a raw, vegan diet.

I am doing three different homeopathics. One is for infection in

general, the second is a constitutional remedy Aurum Met, which

matches

my symptoms overall the best, and the third is a formula with many

organo remedies in it, to support the entire endrocrine system.

I feel the salt/c is important no matter what, because I feel it

reaches the infection anywhere in the body, and will treat all the

infections. The herbs are equally important, and I feel that they

each

treat specific organs and body systems, some crossing the blood

brain

area, some others perhaps not........but all working together.

I do take some supplements, but not as many any more. Of course,

lots

of magnesium. I am feeling more drawn to just my diet, herbs, salt/c

and the energy medicine. The supplements feel too removed from a

natural source and I find myself weaning them out, one by one.

I am definitely getting better, with all of this mix. This might

have

been a longer answer to your question. I would not be feeling as

well,

or moving through this as well if I wasn't doing the herbs. I am

very

happy with the protocol I am following. I am fortunate to be quite

intuitive, and can make my formulas up with precise amounts and

combinations. But fortunately there is this wonderful work by

Buhner,

and I feel very confident of his general recommendations and

treatment

protocols. He is also very very intuitive, and has put together

these

herbs and suggestion from both a great deal of knowledge and

perception.

I highly recommend both approaches at the same time, salt/c and

herbs. I would not want to stop either of them. The treatment I use

the least, is Rife. This is because I am herxing quite nicely with

the salt/c and a couple of the herbs, that I usually only Rife a

couple times a month.

The only thing I think that differs from what I have been reading on

the group posts, is that for me the herbs feel more supportive and

clearing, and I'm not seeming to be herxing with them perhaps as

much as other people. It could be due to the combinations of the

mixtures I make up, which are perhaps more balanced. This is part of

my Auyrvedic learning, and ayurvedic formulas in general are

targeted towards specific conditions, but usually contain numerous

herbs, and there is a balancing effect from this as well. It is not

common in Ayurvedic healing to take single herbs alone.

Hope you are doing well Ballady!

Jnanda,

Thank you for reporting your treatment. This is very well thought out and yes

I believe you are very intuitive. We have also gravitated over the past year to

salt/c and Buhner's herbs and energetic medicine. I, too am moving more toward

food raw and vegan as Makayla's source of most minerals and vitamins. We do

still supplement some but less and less. Thanks for allowing me to drop in

although thyis was for Ballady. (Makayla'smom)

I always read your posts with great interest, and it's nice to hear

from you directly! I was also interested that Makalaya and I share

in some of the same dietary practices. We also both live by the

ocean, although it's cold here on the Oregon Coast......I did get in

the water last Friday during a heat wave here, with just a bikini

on! Wish I had done more, but was not wanting to tire myself out.

Now it's back to 54 degrees!

I just crave the raw diet so much, and it gives me more energy. I do

have to watch my digestion sometimes, because sometimes it's hard to

digest the food. I would love to hear more about what she is eating -

perhaps we could email privately if this is too off topic - or a

quick phone call too. Let me know!

Glad you are doing all the things you are in your treatments. I feel

this is the way to go..............I can't wait for it all to

resolve, and it's pretty neat watching the process.

We are very blessed to have all this information at hand, and the

support of each other. Don't you think?

Love and Blessings,
