Hi Marta,

You were right...........I just wouldn't give in.........I guess I

saw it as the disease was winning....that's not how I am looking at

it now.

I am still on IV Rocephin.....and will be for another two weeks...my

Dr. is trying to get approval for a total of three months..I hope she

succeeds.........I have my fingers crossed.

I hope you and I get approved for longer treatment. Most people I

talk to especially the HoMed Nurse, tell me the patients that have

been on IV the longest are doing the best now. Lets pray we join

that group of lyme people.

I am spending most days on the couch, so travelling right now

wouldn't be a good idea....In the future I will make one of these

rally's, it is so important to let as many people know as possible

how horrible and epidemic this disease is. I will definitely be

there in spirit.........Good luck Marta, I'll be praying for you to

get more IV............Connie nwnj

Hi Connie,

I am so happy to hear this, you do have a terrific LLMD and a great

employer. We all were telling you here on Lyme-aid that there was no way in

hell you could manage the herxing from IV meds and working too. I am so

glad you are home resting, your body will have a chance to really do some

healing. As for me, I got my 28 days, and my insurer is waiting for my

doctor to send in medical necessity and clinical information for the next

dose, I am off IV till he returns to the office Monday night (I hope he is

at the conference). It is a real shame I had to have the treatment

interrupted, I am off one week today. I have surgery scheduled for the 13th

to have my port removed as there is definitely something wrong with it, it

won't take infusion. If I am lucky to go back on IV I will have a mid-line

done by the Home health nurses. I wish you could come to G-burg with us,

but I guess that would defeat the whole point of resting.

Hugs,

Marta

Hi Con,

Yes, the disease is stronger than us sometimes, and we need to really

fight with all our strength to aid in beating it, that's why your staying

home and allowing your body to rest is so important. You cannot serve two

masters or so they say.

Your post brought tears to my eyes, I do appreciate your prayers that I

will soon be back on the IV meds. I am very disappointed that this approval

was not obtained before my 28 days ran out. Especially after reading the

articles that were posted to our list by Larry, from the Journal of

Tickborne Spirochetal diseases. Not much I can do about it though. I am

looking forward to meeting you in the future at a rally one day too.

Wear that couch out!

Hugs,

Marta
