Guest guest
Hi , So sorry for little n. When my nephew was 2, he was hospitalized for dehydration due to severe vomiting and diarrhea that was caused by a virus. They gave him IV fluids for 2 days, and he was fine. The little ones seem to bounce right back. My thoughts are with you, Joan LI NY
Guest guest
[Lyme-aid] Update on n > >Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for n. He was admitted to >the hospital last night for severe dehydration Hello My daughter Rosie was also treated for dehydration at the age of 4. I thought my heart would break watching her being so poorly. She was fading away and I could do nothing at all to help her. She had the IV for about 8 days with no improvement following a gastric upset that lasted 10 weeks. Just when I reached my lowest point, some doctor had the bright idea of giving her some magnesium and potassium through the IV. The next morning she sat up, bright as a button, and asked for some french fries and coke, bold as you please, and complained that she had no TV to watch. When our children are ill we feel it worse than if it were happening to ourselves, but they are resilient little things. Just when we think things can't get much worse, they bounce back as if it had never happened. I hope this is the case for you. Thinking of you and n, and hoping he is well again soon. sheila
