Guest guest
(from NJ), I feel for you for your relapsing when you go off of the abx! May I ask a question? Have you tried Flagyl? According to what Kate's LLMD has said to her while I was listening, the Bb spirochete is a very smart villian...it will go into the cyst form when it senses either an antibiotic or the person's body's own immune system about to attack it. The cyst form is like the curling up into a ball that the amardillo does when it is under attack. Flagyl is suppose to be able to attack the cyst form successfully. However, because it is a " strong " antibiotic, person's bodily abilities to withstand the herxing that it causes varies greatly from person to person. The LLMD has found strong evidence that going slowly (like the turtle in the race story) with the Flagyl pays off better than taking large doses or continuing the Flagyl while herxing instead of discontinuing the Flagyl until the herxing stops, or, greatly reduces. He also gives Biaxin along with the Flagyl to attack the Bb spirochete " free " form more readily. The Biaxin seems to be more readily tolerated by people's bodies than the Flagyl. I have to ask the question...is this cyst forming ability of the Bb spirochete the reason than a person seems to get better on abx, then flare again? Does the Biaxin get rid rather easily of the " free " form of the Bb, which causes the pain, etc. of the body, and gives the " remission " ? Then, when the abx or the person's bodily immune system subsides, the cyst form senses a reduced attack, uncurls into the " free " form and causes havoc once again? I wish I had the answer down pat to pass on to everyone! I am not even a physician, much less the Lord! Flagyl and Biaxin....the double barrel approach to really killing the Bb spirochete????? It is Kate's LLMD's experience in treating Lyme that a slow approach (turtle) is better than a hard & heavy (rabbit) approach to getting rid of the effects of Lyme Disease....with Flagyl. The slow replacating ability of the Bb spirochete allows for this approach. The Bb spirochete replacating ability is supposed to be much, much slower than, say, strep. Congratulations!!! on your upcoming 5/2/2000 date! I wish the two of you many years of happiness.......free of Lyme. Perhaps, with your singing career blossoming, you can be our " STAR " to tell the world. But, oh, put your career on warp speed, please!! The best to you! & Kate (MO)
