For those that would like to participate in the protest at NIH against

Steere and cannot be there, please send me the following information

Lyme Victims who are suffering due to Steere's contentions that Lyme

is not a chronic disease.

I already sent specific info, not knowing I might

get to pick what goes on poster to represent me.

If possible, I would like

STOP A STEERE

FROM DOING MORE HARM

Lovey aka Marvina,

*Native Floridian,

*First bitten in Florida, (where were Willie B & A. Steere when I needed

them?)

*first tickbite 1950 -rash, high fevers, hallucinations, forced to take

" tonics " for years, could not put on weight;

*1967-was told I was in " early menopause at age 26;

*1968-tick paralysis lasted 7 days until tick removed from head;

*1969-all extremities had numbness/tingling, dx: vitamin deficiencies;

*1970-L-5 herniated disk removal;

*1971-hysterectomy;

*1975-rash, flu symptoms;

*1975-1989-continual phleabitis in right leg, nerve damage blamed;

*1989-Rushed to ER with menengitis symptoms, blinding headache, spiking

105 fevers, for 2 weeks, diagnosis: must have 2 or more of the " new " flu

viruses at one time, I believe this was onset of Ehrlichiosis;

*1992 right epicondral injury(?)surgery 6/93;

*1/1994 Carpal Tunnel Release right palm;

*4/1994 Left Wrist Carpal Tunnel Release;

*1996 Carpal Tunnel Release of Radial Nerve, left forearm;

*July 1998 bitten on right hand by tick, no rash;

*August 1998 bitten twice under right breast by adult tick or Brown

Recluse Spider; put on 14 days abx, site of bite presented as

" volcano-like " protrusion with varying shades of purple/white rings,

debrided on day 14, exactly 10 days later Immune System closed down and

ALL lyme symptoms presented;

*Nov. 1998 had T.I.A. and left with right side weakness, foot drag;

*Dec 1, 1998 Dx by LLMD with Bb, Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis (both human

strains).

I WILL BE 59 YEARS OLD ON NOV 2nd. I HAVE HAD BORRELLIOSIS ALMOST ALL OF

MY LIFE! The Summer of 1998 brought co-infections for sure. Tested

positive for ELISA, negative Western Blot, positive Babesiosis, positive

Ehrlichiosis (both strains) at first time testing, positive LUAT

followed, positive PCR blood culture for Bb this month.

*Our son was born in 1960 with " thrush mouth " and has all symptoms of Bb;

*Our daughter was born in 1961 with rash on face.

*Both have degenerating disk problems.

*I have disk herniations at C4, C-5, L-4 and slight bulge at T-3 and now

have RA in spine;

*My spouse, Major Lyme, had L-5 disk removed July 1996 and was dxd with

borrelliosis in April. 1999;

*We are both Chronic Lyme sufferers.

Barbara, feel free to shorten this history or we may need a parade just

for my story! Ha.
