Kay,

This is the first post of yours I've seen today

that I could read!

What did you do differently?

It's interesting; when I just looked at your post

it looked normal. When I quoted it in this reply,

I got some graphical arrows and stuff.

I can read Kay's messages using Outlook Express 5, but her messages are in a

smaller font and have a different background color than most other posts I

read.

She is using Rich Text e-mail format. It is possible that the formatting

codes that go along with these features make the messages incompatable with

some e-mail programs.

You may want to format messages as plain text before sending them to see if

that helps.

Kay,

That looks good.

I see from your message that you are using Microsoft Outlook Express

5.00.2615.200.

The background color is part of the Rich Text formatting. I don't use that

part of the program, but it is probably set as part of a stationery setting

you've applied. Plain Text gets rid of it.

Choose Tools/Options.... then the Send tab. Under Mail Sending Format and

News Sending Format select Plain Text. This will make your default send

format be Plain Text, which should solve the problem so that you don't have

to remember to reformat before sending.
