Advice desperately needed

My LLMD advises me that I have tested postive for Babesia.

Evertyhing I read seems to indicate that if you have Babesia its

nearly certain that you have Lyme. Other than anxiety and

depression that has been horribly aggravated by this diagnosis....I

have some minor periodic muscle weakness in my shoulders and thats

it! I just took a CD-57 test. Is it fair to say that if my CD-57

comes back in the normal range (i.e. above 200) that I don't have

Lyme and can concentrate on possible co-infection like Babesia??

All this just does not make sense....from what I read people with

Lyme are seriously physically disabled and that's not me.....I have

minor muscle weakness and depression/anxiety. God Bless all of you

for your assistance.

not all Lyme patients are seriously disabled - many go on day after day feeling

the way one might after a cold or the flu: a bit more tired & feeling that

something is not quite right.

You are so right Edith. I went through this for years (30 to be exact).

I guess I finally accepted it, and got used to it. Doctors all told me

I was fine and just was all in my head until last year when I figured

out that lyme was a possibility. I never was tired though...just the

opposite in extreme. My lyme doc says this is definately not the norm,

but I do definately have lyme. At least now I have a reason for the way

I have felt all these years, besides doctors thinking PMS, menopausal

or nuts. V

And it so easy to find other things to blame when women do not feel

well .... I was told so many things plus the classic 'treatment' of

finally being told to see a psychiatrist .... I went to doctors, I

went to Naturopath doctors, had energy/healing hands work done, had

massage & chiropractic sessions, tried various diets, tried

tranqilizers and antidepressants. Lo and Behold: the miracle that

saved me was doxycycline. I was not crazy after all!

My daughter's pediatrician denies she can possibly have Lyme

despite her joint pain and headaches ever since having 6 rash marks

on her 8 years ago. Finally got her to a LLMD and they had no doubt

as to what was eating away at her young life and body.

For so many years, I simply had something vaguely wrong - could

never quite explain it ... and gosh, I grew up playing in tall grass

& under bushes in Old Lyme, neighboring town of Lyme. Later in life

I rode horses, tended sheep, walked dogs in woods, gardened for

hours on end, cleared woods to make paths - all in the same area.

How could I not have Lyme Disease!?

My Buhner book arrived today!! :)

Edith, great you got the book and that you found a doctor to treat

your daughter! I know exactly what you mean by to be 'eaten up' by

these critters. Not only lyme, but so many other pathogens are

involved, we're eaten up from head to feet, that's awful.

My little daughter caught it last summer, she turned from a cheerful

intellingent girl to a grumbling tired 'thing'. It was not her! Her

eye expression was soo different, she lost her huge round shining

eyes to be almost someone else. I treated her, and she's now

thriving, so much energetic, it's hard to keep up with!

Many people around us are unable to understand what is being sick

with lyme. It's not their fault either, it's just so much

disinformation all around...

I hope you both will soon get better soon! It does worth to be back

to life. I'm on buhner's herbs for more than a year now, I do have my

life back, many people now don't know I have lyme still.

Enjoy the book!
