Guest guest
Hi Vicki, You are staying at the hotel that overlooks the square, if you have a room in the front, you have the best seat in the house....LOL! I tried to get in there myself, but the price was too high, and only available night was 4/8, I wanted to come in on 4/7, if you want to switch hotels and stay with us, please do, there is no cancellation fee at the Heritage, but not sure about the Gettsyburg Hotel, it is a Best Western by the way.....Heritage Motor Lodge, located at 64 Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg, 717-334-9281, is about 5 blocks from the town square where the rally will be held. There is municipal parking nearby the town square according to the map I have from years ago. I hope it is still accurate. Please everyone wear name tags, they are a must for people like me, with no memory at all and write big too....LOL! I will bring a supply with me too, for those who may forget. I am also bringing a chair, that folds up, my Mom got it for me for Xmas and I am dying to try it. I complained to her that it was so hard standing so long at the NYC rally. Hope all of you reading this will consider coming to Gettysburg for the rally, we really need a huge turnout. Hugs, Marta -From: " Vicki Ferraro " <ferraroa@...> Marta, I think that's the one I'm staying at. But it's called " Best western Gettysburg hotel " . Anyway I jumped the gun and made the reservation fast, for fear of not getting a room. Can't wait to see everyone. Should we wear name tags? Guest guest
Reid, I think the certificate is a great idea. If you need help, let me know. I'm probably not as good as you with the words, but you could send them to me and I could print them on a nice piece and try to make it look like a real certificate. I can't wait to party too, but I wish that could mean at least one glass of wine, I might try, just lately even if I just try a sip of Ant's drink (if alcohol I mean), I feel it in my veins instantly and get sick, one sip!!! NO FAIR! Anyway, I think the Sunday Brunch is a wonderful idea. I was hoping we'd set some time aside to all be together without so much going on. Hey when you get in Friday night (?) ask for our number (under Ferraro), anyone coming in on Friday night, maybe we can at least meet in the lobby or lounge and spend some time together, not too late I know we need our rest. I'm sooooooooo excited!!!!! Vicki, Md >From: rmcmur3194@... > figured we could al do breakfast on sunday before we >leave......( not to early after a long day sat).....also i was thinking about >making a certificate of appreciation for the people at the motel as they have >really been great to us lymies from what everyone has said....can't >wait......party...party....party.....till we're green....... >Reid

Guest guest
Reid, That's great, about the certificate program, I bet they'll be real nice and professional. Sorry you have to leave early on Sunday, Marta does too, so I guess I'll just have to make the Mott Barn party. I was thinking, I'd probably be worn out for that. But I really want a chance to really get to talk to everyone and take lots of pictures. But everyone will have to be very patient with me on that account, because I want to keep a log with every picture I take, so I don't forge after they are developed, who is who. See you soon. Vicki, Md (AOL IM YASL40) P.S. Don't drive too fast! >From: rmcmur3194@... > >vicki, >i have a program that makes nice certificates......will take care of >it......i will not be getting htere tioll sat....also will have to leave by >11:30 on sun as my 12 yo has a sports banquet at 4:30.....oh well ...was >going to be a nice slow ride home but she really wants to come so i will just >drive a little faster......can't wait to see ya finaaly..... >god my typing is terrable today..... >Reid >
Guest guest
I talked to Jo from VA's Lyme group and she is also trying to round up her group to go. I met her at the NIH demonstration. Good group of people, really active. So hopefully that will add to our numbers somewhat. Guest guest
Hi Everbody, My daughter, (7 yrs old), and I (21+yrs old) will be staying at the Heritage Motor Lodge. I just made our reservations tonight. We're booked for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday under the name McInerney. We'll be on the 1st floor (furtherest from the smoking floors). Can't wait to meet everyone!! Must admit, I have quilt phobia also; I'm going to use Jeannine's ideas and use felt and glitter glue. Guest guest
Hi Eileen, So happy you are coming and bringing your daughter. It will be so much fun. I am on the first floor too. I got my confirmation letter in the mail and the picture of the place is nice, but they all look good in the brochures anyway. I wanted to mention, not sure if Lovette posted this to the group or not, Heritage Lodge is undergoing some construction, Lovette says there is a huge excavation in the parking lot and some heavy equipment, the person we made reservations with (Amy) did mention construction to me, and that Travel-lodge will be taking over on May 1st. I hope this does not present a problem with the construction, but as long as they don't make noise at night, we will be OK.
