In fact, it was a referral from Barbara Brennan's School in NY who (after

hearing about 10 words about my daughter via phone) said LYME!!!

Funny you should bring this up...I was attuned to Reiki Level One two weeks

ago...lol. I do it on myself daily now. I plan to go to level two after a

few months. When I had my first treatment I was quite impressed how

intuitive the gal was. (long story).

Anyways, I believe it helps, but don't think it's a cure, but complimentary.

Welcome to our group! I received immense relief from skin, bone, muscle pain and headaches from a Reiki practictioner that my chiro recommended. Also helped with anxiety, depression, and mental clarity. I must say I was skeptical at first, but grateful for the additional relief. I continued for about 6 months, until she went back to a computer-consultant job that took her out of town a lot. She returned to Reiki about a year later, but I haven't gotten back into it -- really need to. I don't understand exactly how it works so well, but I can testify that it certainly does.

ph, before I came down with lyme - i was very interested in energy

healing and reike. i bought a few books on the subject and began to

pratice on myself and family. i was very " into " holistic healing.

When i started to suffer from lyme, i couldnt continue my studies

because i was sooo sick. this is only my opinion, but i think the only

way to control lyme is with antibiotics. although the holistic can be

used in combination with the antibotics. what ever works for you. i

am sure you can find a practioner that claims they can cure any illness

using holistic medicine. as for me, i am on my 8th week of IV and am

starting to feel a great improvement. It is just amazing - i was sick

for so long and was close to loosing all hope. Good luck with whatever

you choose to do.

Yes, recently tried reike. In fact, felt so great after a treatment, I

decided to begin studying. The day after, my mother told me how great I

looked, my color with no makeup was great. I couldn't tell her about reike

because she's a born again and would say something weird about it. Anyway, I

think it does have a positive effect.

Curious as to how long it takes to learn this? (I learned something very

similar to " Therapeutic Touch " many years ago... Seems to come quite

naturally...)

There are different degrees too, aren't there?

I see ads all the time for Reiki Level I - but it's only a 1-day course -

seems it takes a bit longer to learn...
