Guest guest
Hi Ann, I just want to clarify that the times that I was able to use touch to help others in their healing was not work-related. It happened when I was staying at an intentional community in Oregon. " Opportunities " presented themselves (ie someone had a epileptic seizure; another had a sleep apnea episode and was choking, etc.) where I felt free enough to follow my strong impulse to touch the person. I had never witnessed either of those situations before. People were even telling me not to touch the person in seizure but I felt compelled to. I chose to trust my body. The minute I did, his seizure shifted and he soon came out of it. It was pretty incredible. I practice Reiki on myself and like you wrote below, you are supposed to be a conduit for positive energy, that passes through you. But in the instances I refer to above, I was not pushing positive energy in; instead I was pulling negative energy out and pushing it into the earth through my spine (I was sitting cross-legged). It's what my body wanted to do. No matter how I want to push positive energy in, it's always that I end up pulling out the negative and trying to ground it. Afterwards I always felt emotionally and physically drained and extremely empathetic toward the person. Although draining, the process was also exhilarating. I always felt the situations were gifts, where the person revealed their most vulnerable state to me. Some day, I hope to live in community again and further develop my intuitive nature. There is nothing more gratifying to me than to be able to use touch to help others to heal. Regarding EMF sensitivity, I always thought I got away with avoiding that fate. I recently got a radiant heater and it brought up EMF symptoms BIG TIME. I returned the heater and the symptoms went away, but it made me very aware that I have had EMF sensitivity for a while, just at a much subtler level so I was not yet aware. So I recommend to anyone that they buy a few protective devices if they use the phone or computer often. I bought the cap and apron and phone from lessemf.com (no financial interest). I also bought " boji stones " because a friend with EMF sensitivity said they were the only things that helped her. Much peace to all, > > > > Hi and Joyce, > > , I relate to much of what you said, regarding empathy and chemical > sensitivities.
