Guest guest
Not really. I am wondering how you are going to easily make a tincture out of the powder? I use the cut/sifted without any problems. I have a jar in the fridge now, that will be in there 4 weeks tomorrow, so should be done. Although IF you can 6 weeks is even better. Guest guest
Hi Jim I don't make tincture. I encapsulate the herbs as I find it easier. Guest guest
You are right Jo, in that tinctures are quite expensive. You can save a tremendous amount of money if you make your own, IF you are not doing it already. 90 drops is about a one ml dropper ful, correct? I use red root at the rate of 1/2 of a dropper full, TWO times a day now. I used to take it three times a day. I could NOT stay on herbs IF I had to continually pay for the readymades. Even at my maintenance dose. Jim. ### wyomin@... wrote: I wonder if I'm using red root correctly. Buhner says 30 to 90 drops up to 4 times a day. That amount uses up a 2 oz bottle pretty fast. If that's correct, its the most expensive herb I take; the others are powders. Is that correct? jo --------------------------------- Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell. Guest guest
I made one batch of red root tincture, but I had bought the powdered herb and it was a mess to strain. How do you make yours, Jim? jo

Guest guest
For herxing, I use red root - 8 drops, glutathione .25 tsp and tumeric 11 drops - well actually almost every day. Herxing i might do them twice a day. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to use them more, _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Jeannie Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2011 1:11 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Red Root Connie, How much Red Root do you take? Guest guest
The bottle says 30-40 drops, two to four times a day. I started at 5 drops, three times and day and after 3 or 4 months I'm up to 20 drops, three times a day. I believe it helps to detoxify the spleen and liver. It helps relieve the pain I get there and shortly after I started using it I started feeling a bubbling over on my left side (spleen) which to me signals some sort of movement. Dry brushing also helps the lymphatic system to drain as well. I do this daily. Connie Re: [ ] Red Root Connie, How much Red Root do you take? Does this detoxify?
