Hey Reid,

Kaylen is comming to this one too . SHes 10. I can't wait for her to meet the

other kids. I can't wait to meet them either. It will be so good for them to

meet other child lymies.. they need to feel like they are not alone. There is

that wonderful children's lyme chat on mondays which is such a great idea..

they need more contact with other kids their age. This will be soo good for

them too .

I was thinking, I type pretty fast, I could bring a laptop and try to type

what is being said and you could read it. I used to be called " Speedy

" and " fast fingers " . I'm not as fast as I used to be, but I bet I

could catch most of it. Then we'd also have a transcript! Think about it.

Hi , I am forwarding your letter to Lovette to see if she can dig

up an interpreter for you, even if she cannot, we will help you along the

best we can, I agree with Reid (usually do) we speak the universal language

of love, and you will feel it. I can imagine you can read lips and can get

the gist of what is going on that way. Just being there even without hearing

everything will be fun, I have a hearing problem and have worn a hearing aid

for years, so I miss a lot too, not as much as you I am sure, but please

don't let this hold you back from coming, we want to meet as many list

members as possible.

Hugs,

Marta

Hi ,

Sometime before we go to G-burg, if you or Connie could post the phone

number of where you will be staying (Comfort Inn, I think more than one

there) we will call and leave message or speak with you and let you know

where we are, so we can arrange to meet.

Hugs,

Marta

Love to all,

>>

Of course we need our docs and eachother ! I am very sorry that you

have lost your doctor. I have lost mine as well, and know how it feels . : (

I don't think anyone here is " ANGRY " , at least I hope not . I think its

because we all love eachother here on this group that we feel comfortable

enough to discuss things that we are concerned about. Including the fact that

there may be media coverage that might not be good for us. The letter was

never intended to make anyone angry, I am sorry if you took that the wrong

way. I am very grateful to Lovette for all of her work. I don't think the

party is a bad idea at all. I love the idea. I am just worried about the way

that it was advertised on line in an open forum where who knows who will

attend. I think that if it had been mentioned privately at the rally to

people who we know are on our side. It would have been a little safer .It

really hurts me that some of you see this as an attack on Lovette. That is so

untrue. Lovette if your reading this, I hope you don't feel that way, and I

apologize again for making you feel badly, if that is the case.. That is not

my intention, I just feel that there was no way for me , in good conscience,

to " not " mention the potential risks to many of us here who may have not

thought of them on our own. Lots of us here are on Social Security

Disability, and some of us even have legal suits pending ! We have to be

careful. YES " WE " as Lymies understand what the Party is about, Getting

together and having a chance to enjoy eachothers company, we understand about

having good days and bad days, we know that we will probably spend 2-3 days

in bed recouperating after a rally , as we did in NYC , for a great cause,

for " OUR " cause. but the " lay " people, the media, the evil spies, and anyone

else who is jealous of our progress in the past few months may look at this

as a great opportunity to make us look bad. And that IS very important. We

can " t afford any setbacks from people who don't understand us. Afterall, how

many times have we said, and agreed that unless you have lyme disease you

can't understand how we feel.? Lovette was right when she said that people

look at us and tell us that we look so good when we feel so poorly. This is

what I am talking about when I say that the media could misconstrue the

party. They will see us out after a long rally and think that we are all full

of it. In there eyes, we could look like a bunch of hippocrits, they have no

idea by looking at us how we are feeling. That could read very poorly in a

newspaper, magazine or tv show. Afterall we have been lucky enough to have

our stories written in New York Magazine, and yes.. even the Gettysburg

press.

I know I said I wasn't going to continue writing about this, but it does hurt

me that many of you are taking this the wrong way. Those of you who know me

personally, I hope, will know that I am not trying to hurt you guys, or rain

on our parade, I am truly just trying to watch out for all of us !! I would

say that I am sorry for writing that post ,but I would be lying. I am not

sorry , because I feel that I have made som e very valid points, I hope ,

after a while you guys will understand that. And.. before I close here.. I

want to say that I am TRULY GRATEFUL to all of you on this list !! Everyone

one of you has helped me in one way or another, just having you guys here as

my second family means the world to me. I would never do anything to

INTENTIONALLY try to upset you . I AM one of the good guys !!

Love and hugs to all

Dear Friends: Despite the weather, WE REALLY RUMBLED IN GETTYSBURG!!!

My most fun was having everyone chant " TOFU, TOFU " - and the best part

was seeing ALL of my Internet friends. It was really overwhelming to

see all of you whom I trust with my life in person. It has made a HUGE

difference in my life to put names to faces and to hugs - BTW, ALL

LYMIES GIVE BIG WARM HUGS!!!

I slept until 4 p.m. today [exhausted from the rally], and I'm going to

bed early as well. I love you all!! Just sorry you couldn't swim in

the heated pool and dance in our barn - but we had a blast anyway.

Thanks to all of you for coming!!

Hi all-

Like everyone else I am still recovering from the

Gettysburg trip as is my daughter.. But for the first

time since Ive had this awful disease all the pain and

fatigue is worth every second. I am so glad we were

able to make the trip.. And everything about it was

awesome... It was just so wonderful being surrounded

by everyone that knows exactly how we all feel and the

love and caring was something I will never forget...

Thanks to everyone for making this a very special time

in my life.

L(MI)

P.S.

If anyone wants to know where you can stop for ice

cream between Gettysburg and MI ask Connie (Cslyme).

She found them all LOL...

Dear Friends: The Gettysburg Times has been publishing Letters to the

Editor about our Lyme Rally. It recently published a letter from

Phyllis Mervine. Why not write a letter to the editor and get

yourselves in print?? www.gburgtimes.com
