Guest guest
Hi , Oops, forgot about the military health system. Long time ago, circa 1940, The Navy took out Mom's appendix - for no reason except she was having lots of pain. She also had kidney stones. Then in 1961, in civilian life, a urologist discovered Mom had 3 kidneys, following a severe bout with stones. I was about 9 at the time, Christian was 7. We thought she was going to die. Dad 'babysat' us. 2 weeks of pizza everynight and we (yes, Christian too!) played 'dress up' all the time - in Mom's clothes! Mom lived happily ever after with 1 kidney. Until cancer came in 1985 - 1997. Anyway, back to your back pain and Drs. Wondering how 'high' on the level of military docs you can go to insist/beg/plead your case for an MRI? Is there some Doctor CO high up that can help? All I know of the military now is fiction I see on " Jag " , so consider where I am coming from. It just makes me SO MAD when people, anywhere need health care and can't get it!!!!!!! GRRRRRRR!!! I did take Darvocet in the beginning for my back, but was warned not to drive. Cramped my style. I also took Robaxin, which is a muscle relaxer, works well on backs, and ability to drive in me not impaired at all. Keep those heating pads going. This is not much help, I'm afraid. ~ Gretchen
