My guess would be that what you're experiencing could well be a mild form of a seizure. Interestingly, you also mentioned panic attacks. It's interesting because Ativan is sometimes used to treat panic attacks AND some mild forms of seizures! I've been taking Ativan since 1986 and it's kept my panic attacks under control. What I find interesting is that all of my panic attacks began with a very light-headed, disconnected sensation, very similar to what one would feel prior to losing consiciousness. It kinda makes me wonder if there's some correlation between seizures and some forms of panic attacks. Since the beginning of this Flagyl herx, I've had a symptom return that I hadn't had in months - the best way I can describe it is that it feels like my head is pulsating - very much like the sensation I would get prior to a panic attack. It's a fleeting sensation but can occur many times throughout the day. Anyway...I " think " the point I was trying to make is that it seems to me that there is a possibility that these neuro symptoms are seldom present for me except during a herx - once again, possibly caused, or at least worsened, by the toxins of dying spirochetes. Again, just some thoughts from a foggy lyme brain. <g> Hugs, Patty -- Sometimes on our way to our dreams we get lost - and find something even better.
