Guest guest
I keep reading, and can't really come with a clear picture of bart symptoms. I feel that what I read does not correspond well to what lyme sufferers report. I don't have high temperature, never had with lyme. I have chills (had, at least until a few days ago) and finger pain (bone, on my hands) with swelling. Then some fatigue, when my fingers are in pain. After herbs, all are gone, but may come again a bit before next herbal intake. I think I had some feet (sole) sensitivity for one or two days during all my lyme story. quite long time ago. Then, my hands may get more red sometimes... But nothing that lasts. Does this sound like bart?? Selma
Guest guest
It's hard to say. I haven't run fevers either. I get chilled, and then I feel horribly hot and sweaty, then chilled again. Sometimes I have cold sweats. My temperature is always low, even when I feel hot. I have to do heat therapy to get my temperature up to, or above 97F. The soles of my feet hurt, especially when I first get up in the morning. Sometimes I get a weird spreading pain through my hands and feet, then a nasty sweat. I do have tiny red spots, slightly raised, on my upper body. My LLMD looked at them and thought they might be bart. I suspect my vision issues are probably bart, because they started when I stopped the doxy and went to amoxicillin. Doxy suppresses bart - amoxi doesn't. Then there's the loss of balance, the fatigue, the sudden anger for no reason. I don't know what's Lyme and what's bart, but I'm starting to suspect most of it is bart right now. The heat therapy has been such a help. Some of the red spots are even going away. I felt much worse when the power was out, and I couldn't use the treadmill or the hot tub. I'm already much better. Thanks for asking the question, Selma. It's something I've been trying to figure out lately. Guest guest
, thanks for answering so fast. But so many babesia symptoms overlap.... My babesia symptoms looked like that: - chills - heat attacks with fatigue - night sweats - hot flushes - more chills - mild loss of balance - extreme fatigue - air hunger - emotional instability and extreme anxiety, depression, change of personality Except for chills, these symptoms above are gone for me. What I can figure out from your description that sounded more like bart and NOT babesia: - pains on hands and feet - red spots, marks on skin Just a figuring out of things... This pain you describe on hands/feet, is it bone pain or skin pain? Mine is bone pain, I got no skin pain, that's why I ask. Do you get any swelling (light) with such pains? > I suspect my vision issues are probably bart, because they started when I stopped the doxy and went to amoxicillin. I don't know what's Lyme and what's bart, but I'm starting to suspect most of it is bart right now. I wouldn't say it immediately. Vision issues could be lyme too and amoxy could be not reaching the eyes for some reason (or not working as well as doxy in yuor case)?? Just a guess. Not all people digest/ absorb drugs the same way. What kind of heat treatment are you using? Thanks again, . Selma

Guest guest
Hi, Selma, I did think the symptoms were babs, but now I don't think so. It seems doxy helps them the most, which points more to Lyme or bart, rather than babs. It is very hard to know. The hand pain is not skin. It is deep in the hand, but not what I think of as bone pain. It comes on suddenly, spreads through the whole hand, and it is very bad for only a few seconds, maybe half a minute. Then it is gone. I always feel hot and break out in a sweat at the same time. Sometimes it happens in my toes at the same time as the hands. My hands only swell when I do the hot tub, but I do have individual joints in my fingers that swell and become painful at other times. The vision problems started while I was on amoxicillin, and I tried adding artemisinin. The eye doctor tells me it is not in my eyes. It is in my brain. If I take artemisinin, it gets much worse within an hour. So I think it was the art itself that was the problem, rather than babs being killed. It is possible I now have permanent damage, since there has been no change in months. Right now I am doing mepron and doxy, with heat and exercise, hyaluronic acid and magnesium. I have many times asked my LLMD about combining the mepron and doxy, but he thinks it is OK. Others say the doxy makes the mepron less effective. My LLMD was supposed to check with Dr. Burrascano, but I don't think he has. I have been unable to combine herbs with the antibiotics. My liver says it is too much right now. And milk thistle, which I would like to take, should not be taken with Mepron. So I am hoping to finish the antibiotics soon and follow up with herbs, exercise and heat. Meanwhile, my horse is eating all my herbs, and she is feeling much better for it. It sure is a puzzle, figuring out what works, and why. Take care, D. selmanaka <hardynaka@...> wrote: , thanks for answering so fast. But so many babesia symptoms overlap.... Guest guest
I have always had GOOD circulation. And hands and other extremities were always nice and warm. But lately, my hands have been SOOOOOOO cold. I can never seem to warm them up. I don't get the hot flashes and sweat you are talking about though. I have been attributing it to old age, but I sometimes wonder. Jim. ### DeMarco <ponyrubs@...> wrote: It's hard to say. I haven't run fevers either. Guest guest
Well, one reason is that we suspected babesia. Artemisinin and I have some issues. Mepron is supposed to be very effective, even per Dr. K, though prohibitively expensive at $1200/bottle. My insurance is covering it. I'm amazed that they are covering it, and I'm not sure when that will end, so I'm taking advantage while I can. As for horses with Lyme, I have had good results with doxycycline, no-grain diets, and Mg, Se and E supplementation. So I'm not sure whether I'm doing my best for Lucy. I hope so. Time will tell. D. Guest guest
Heh. My hands and feet are always frozen. My husband refers to my feet as mobile refrigeration units. D. " R.
