Plus the fatigue and the brain fog was a lot worse. Dont know if it was a HERX or what but I did notice things got worse when I was on it. Am doing that right now with the Rocephin. My back is killing me and I spent the entire day yesterday in bed. Am just cathing up on my mail and then heading back to bed today. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you are feeling so bad, please stay in bed if it helps you feel better, mail can wait. I just wanted to comment I had high doses of Amoxicillin and Probenecid early in my treatment, and I felt really bad on that too, I am pretty sure it was the worst of all my herxes that I can recall. Feel better, Hugs, Marta, NJ >From: lc lott <lclott@...> >I was on oral Amoxicillin for 2 weeks while waiting to get my IV >Rocephin and after the first few days I started to run a fever and had >HORRIBLE back pain. This heat here is a real killer on top of the fever and not taking anything for it. I feel just like I did on the Amoxicillin so guess I am Herxing. Will be glad when it is over. This is week 6 on the Rocephin but had that week break so am actually into week one of being back on it. Also with my parents being here for those 4 days I didnt rest like I should have and now am paying the price for it. I try to at least get up and move around a little and cant help but check my mail. Dont want to miss anything. Am hoping for a quiet weekend around here and then for a little energy maybe on Mon. Will just have to wait and see. Take care, L(MI) > > ---------------------------
Guest guest
Several people appear to be taking Rocephin. Can anyone tell me the benefits of it? Guest guest
Cephalosporins are used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria. They work by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. Cephalosporins are used to treat infections in many different parts of the body. They are sometimes given with other antibiotics. They are a subclass of antibiotics related to penicillens, act by destroying growing bacteria. Rocephin is also called Ceftriaxone. Let your doctor know if you have ever had an allergic reaction to a cephalosporin drug or to penicillens, penicillamine, or a penicillen derivative [such as amoxicillen, ampicillen]. About 10 percent of people with allergies to penicillen are also allergic to cephalosporins. Kiana Rossi mailto:bornfree@... Guest guest
Hi Kiana, I am one of those crossover people. I was allergic to penicillin for a long time. Could take the new Cedax and can't remember th other one. But not for long. Ceftin, and all those make me so ill. The doctors have fits when other infections come up, they don't have too many choices for me I am lucky that Zith works so well for me.
