Guest guest
dear connie, why are you combining these two herbs? sounds dangerous to me. buhner stresses in several places that each of these are very powerful herbs. actually, isn't artesunate the extract? so it's missing the whole herb constituents to help diminish side effects? using cryptoleptis to treat babesia is so new, i don't think we have many people using it yet, so you may be one of the first. i appreciate your keeping us updated on how it goes. may you re-discover your balance, with ease and grace, kendra -----Original Message----- Anyone taken both of these at the same time? If so, what were the effects? I started cryptoleptis this week for Babesia, and today added in artesunate (artemisia derivitive). Feeling tired and quite headachy. Wondering if it's a herx or an herbal interaction. Thanks! Connie
Guest guest
> Hi Kendra, Thanks for your thoughts. I seem to tolerate high doses of stuff well, and I felt I needed something else besides artesunate as I wasn't herxing much from it. So I felt it was safe to add cryptolepsis. I'm doing better today, fortunately, so I think it may be OK to keep doing both of them together. BTW, in my understanding, artesunate is simply another derivitive of artemisia, which is the whole herb. Artemisinin is likewise another derivitive of artemisia. Artesunate is supposed to be 4-5 times more active in the body than artemisinin and it's why I chose it over artemisinin. As for other differences, I'd have to review my book on Babesia.
