Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, I hadn't seen it, good to know. I recently was approved for SSDI, I think it was March 99....got my first check in April....and one of my diagnoses' was CFS, but Lyme disease was first....I was proud to see that on the award letter, I hope this is a precedent or something. Other dx's were Herniated disc, Fibro and depression. Guest guest
Hi , My prayers are with you that you get that award letter, I sure know what it is like waiting for the mail everyday, getting mad at the Mailman, like it is his fault...LOL! After two denials I had to go before an appeals judge, I was a basket case. He turned out to be the most sympathetic, sweet man and the case lasted all of about ten minutes. I still did not learn his ruling till several months after that hearing, and then took several more months to get the check. But I am in NJ, and I hear they are really backlogged. Let us know what happens, Hugs, Marta >From: lc lott <lclott@...> > >Hi all- >Kathleen thanks for the info on the SSD ruling. Wonder if I will get my >appeal approved now. CFS was my original dx. I > Hi Marta- The way this whole nightmare has been I am not counting on anything. Although it will be interesting to hear what my LTD co has to say if I get approved for SSD. The LTD co has only 3 requirements that you have to meet: 1.Be unable to perform the duties of your job. 2.Do not work at all 3.Be under a doctors care. SSD is much stricter with the criteria so if I get that and still get denied by the LTD its really gonna look bad for them. I still cant figure out which part of LTDs I dont meet. Maybe they consider breathing a job. Hmmm.
