Guest guest
Sounds like you are doing great Chris. The doses of medications goes by your weight so that shouldn't make a difference. Everyone has different sides from the drugs and yours are light. Just remember each shot can be a little different from the first. Glad you checked in, I was wondering how you were doing. Lynne [ ] First Shot Done - Questions Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I took my first shot and pills on Friday night and I woke up in the morning feeling almost exactly the same as when I went to sleep. I had a tiny bit of aches and an occasional headache. That's been about it so far. The biggest thing that was bothering me was that I was really 'spaced' out on Saturday. If I wasn't talking or doing something, I was just 'zoning' out. That seems to have gotten better also. I'm very grateful that I haven't had really bad side effects. I wanted to ask everyone else who has done the treatment, what was your dosage of ribavarin & Pegasys? I am taking 2 tablets/200 mg each of Ribavarin twice a day (800 mg total) and 1cc of Pegasys. I'm thinking maybe I haven't had bad sides because of my dosage??? Thank you all so much for the support, you've all helped more than you know. Guest guest
Good for you! My impression was that it was the interferon that caused most of the sides, at least the wicked ones. I have heard of a few people who had a mild first shot, then got hit worse later, but that is by far the exception, most of us got it worst on the first shot. So, hopefully your body just adapts well to the interferon!! I took 4 pills a day (I don't remember the milligrams/pill, but I know it was based on body weight) I go about 180. -dz- <chrissea10@...> wrote: Hi Everyone,I just wanted to let you all know that I took my first shot and pills on Friday night and I woke up in the morning feeling almost exactly the same as when I went to sleep. Guest guest
Isn't it nice how the insurance companies now dictate our meds and dosage? My dr was going to put me on wellbutrin one 400 mg tablet once daily and the insurance company balked and was going to double my co-pay. So he gave me 2/200 mg tablets once daily and I got that at the regular price. Go figure. -dz- <jenjenintexas@...> wrote: I'm not sure what Shane takes except that it's a LOT. He takes 3 Rebetol twice daily and when he "dials up" his shot it is to the max...he's 6'4'' and 260lbs (maybe about 5-10 less since tx). I do know that the insurance company wasn't going to pay for all of his Rebetol because their max dosage limit was 4 daily. I'm glad your sides were minimal. Keep up the good work!Jen> Hi Everyone,> I just wanted to let you all know that I took my first shot and > pills on Friday night and I woke up in the morning feeling almost > exactly the same as when I went to sleep.
