Guest guest
Congradulations Andie. May God keep blessing you and keep you undetctable forever. I did combo treatment back in early 2000 but didn't respond. I can relate to you saying your brain is working again because when I was on tx, it felt like I was in a horrible nightmare and I couldn't even solve little problems. Well again congradulations.. Take care. Aleah > Well, I finished 48 weeks and I am happy to say that so far, I am > undectable (I was a 1A). My brain is starting to work again and my > energy level is returning. Guest guest
Andi, That is wonderful...Huge Congrats...!!! I just dx Sept 17 and I am going to start therapy Dec 2nd, so it was great to hear your story..thanks so much for sharing. I do worry about the sides, and not so much for myself, as I do others that I must be around me. I hear they make you pretty cranky at times, and just the all over feeling of not well, I sure that would make me cranky. I guess I should say that I already am that, I have been having some sides just with my Hep C. I am tired all the time, I have body aches and pains in my leggs and hands, which that I don't understand. I have nausea allot, and sometimes headaches, which maybe just from the stress of all it. I have to wonder though what it will be like later on tx, if I am having all these problems already... Nonetheless, it sure is comforting when I get to read stories like yous... Keep up the great work and know that you will be in my prayers ... Hugs & prayers to all Aleah Dawn <greeneyed_timberwolfette1_1971@...> wrote: Congradulations Andie. Guest guest
Congratulations!! Even though you are a quiet one, we're glad you spoke up to share your good news. It's very helpful, I think, for those on the treatment or contemplating it, to hear success stories. We know some people join in more than others, there are as many different ways of handling this as there are people doing it. Please let us know when you have a clean test again in Feb. I joined this group and it was an immense help to me in the beginning. Then I got too stupid to type <LOL>.I remember being so envious reading other people who were finished tx. It's like a lost year in some ways. For me, I became cat-like - eating small meals throughout the day, napping frequently, watching lizards and sitting outside whenever I could. For the most part - my white and red cell counts dropped and stayed low (wbc 1500 crit 27). I had almost no pain but I did have muscle spasms. Everything is improving now and my doc and I have a goal of me being off all meds by Feb. I took Lexapro for the mood stuff, .25 xanax for anxiety, soma or robaxin for muscle spasms and trazadone for sleep. After the first couple of months things leveled out and I just dealt with living within the limitations.I never missed a dose of interferon or ribavarin - hey why start this stuff if I'm not willing to follow instructions? My message is one of being a cheerleader to all of you going through this - you are giving up a year of your life to be able to live the rest of your life.Best wishes to you all,Andi
