Guest guest Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 My friend has just found out that she cannot continue the clinical trial that she has been in since last fall, Drug: PEG-Intron Plus REBETOL Drug: PEGASYS Plus COPEGUS. (http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct/show/NCT00081770?order=2) Needless to say, she is VERY DOWN about this, and now that she knows that she is no longer a candidate, her depression is pronounced. She says that all she wants to do is to feel better, to get over having the drugs in her system. She cannot see the physician until next month. I was wondering if anyone has come off of Intereron and could give me an idea of how long the drugs will stay in her system. It is highly unlikely that she will be a candidate for transplantation, due to pre-existing conditions. I am doing the best that I can to be a strong support... but if anyone could help me with information or sites that we might find helpful, I would greatly appreciate it. I feel so helpless right now.
