Sue,

My heart goes out to you and Greg. I believe you did the right thing and enjoy the vacation first before informing Greg of the bad news.

Kind regards from Rochester, NY

Jim

[ ] Hi everyone one more time.

Well, here I am back again. (Sad face.)Greg got the results of his most recent bloodwork. Before he began the shots and pills, his viral load was 3.4 million. Now, six months after his treatment ended, it is 3.1 million. So, it did not work! He has an ultrasound of the liver on the eighth of July. he is very depressed.I found out these results on the seventh of June. Greg had signed a paper saying the doctors could talk to me. i happened to answer the phone that day and i am glad I did.We had a vacation planned and were leaving the very next day. I did not want anything to dampen greg's spirits. he had never taken a true vacation in the 28.5 years he has been in my life, and he had never ridden on a train. We went to the guide dog school where gidget and my previous guide dog yasmine were trained. Greg wanted to see the memorial plaque there for yasmine and to see the campus. and, we met the family who raised gidget. It was lots of fun and I think I did the right thing by waiting until we got home to share the test results with Greg.I took a trip in March to florida for nine days, just me and gidget, to visit a friend of mine and to teach her how to use her computer with synthesized speech like mine has.I had planned another trip to FL in August but now am not going.the kids got Greg a huge stainless steel gas grill for Father's Day so it will get used this weekend.gidget is still off the prednizone and is doing fine.I guess that brings those of you who know us up to date and those who don't know us, well, sorry if this post was long.Take care.sue and gidgetangelsusanne@...

Hi, sharon. well, Greg's doctors all said there's no way he'd be able to take

the treatment again and they said there's nothing else to try right now. gotta

keep hoping, though.

I’m glad you waited until after the

vacation. You gave him one less thing to worry about while on vacation, and

knowing beforehand wouldn’t have been any advantage to him, that I can

think of. I hope you had a wonderful vacation. Some people are successful on a

second round of treatments, and I have been hearing talk of a new treatment

under development. Good luck to all of you. –dz-

everyone one more time.

Well, here I am back again. (Sad face.)

Greg got the results of his most recent bloodwork.

Before he began the shots and pills, his viral load was 3.4 million. Now,

six months after his treatment ended, it is 3.1 million. So, it did not

work! He has an ultrasound of the liver on the eighth of July. he is very

June. Greg had signed a paper saying the doctors could talk to me. i

happened to answer the phone that day and i am glad I did.

We had a vacation planned and were leaving the

very next day. I did not want anything to dampen greg's spirits. he had never

taken a true vacation in the 28.5 years he has been in my life, and he had

just me and gidget, to visit a friend of mine and to teach her how to use her

computer with synthesized speech like mine has.

I had planned another trip to FL in August but now

for Father's Day so it will get used this weekend.

gidget is still off the prednizone and is doing

fine.

I guess that brings those of you who know us up to

date and those who don't know us, well, sorry if this post was long.

Take care.
