Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the list, you came to the right place, I personally have not done the HBO treatments but I know some who have. I am forwarding a copy of this mail to someone I know who did several weeks of HBO, Jane can probably answer a lot of your questions. There are lots of websites available about HBO. Let me know if you need help finding them. There are just about 100 subscribers to this list, and someone always jumps in to help with your questions. Keep asking questions, and we will try to help whenever. Hugs, Marta > From: ranlin@... > > I have had lyme disease for 4 years. Like most others,I went from a very functional life to a couch potatoe. Very disabled. I am about to under go the oxygen (dive chamber) treatment hoping to get some results. Has anyone tried this yet? I also have have change in my skin pigmentation. I get very red when I am warm and when you rub against my skin, it turns pale white. I also have crawling sensations over the entire body. I have a lot of questions and I am not sure if I am in the right place for communication with others...Could someone respond? > I have already had 7 momths of aggressive I.V. treatment. Feel some better, > but not enough to get on with my life...Thanks... Dear , Welcome to this Lyme support list! We all know how you feel because we've either been there ... or ... are there now. I thought I would NEVER get my life back but I finally feel better then I have since all this happened which will be 3 years in June. I'm not symptom free, still have many things wrong, but if I judge how I was ... this is better! I did 6 weeks of Clafron IV and 7 weeks of Doxy IV. Someone told me her daughter had done the Doxy IV and was better also. I don't know if that was it or not but I'm grateful to be better. I'm sure people who have been through the HBO treatment will share their thoughts about that. I haven't tried it so I don't know about that. We sure hope you and everyone on this list gets better from this horrible disease. Here are a few honest sites for you to check out. This will keep you busy learning and you do have to educate yourself about this disease. There are people on our side, honest! G--cities displays them using JavaScript - that's the price I pay for a free web site. However, you can avoid the " black boxes " by disabling JavaScript for your browser. For Netscape 3.01 this is done by the following procedure: - Select " Options " from the top menu, then - Network Preferences, then - Languages tab - Then, remove the check mark in the " Enable JavaScript " little white box by clicking on it and finally, save this reconfiguration by clicking on the OK button at the bottom. You can always go back and enable the JavaScript if needed for that one-in-a-hundred search engine or other web site application. Also, note that my site will now present a " cookie notification " as of 1 August 1998 because I have added a " hit counter " to each " Index " page. I probably will remove them at a later time but if you are annoyed by " cookie notification messages " they may be suppressed with the following procedure: - Select " Options " from the top menu, then - Network Preferences, then - Protocols tab - Then, remove the check mark in the Show an Alert Before " Accepting a Cookie " little white box by clicking on it and finally, save this reconfiguration by clicking on the OK button at the bottom. You can always go back and enable the " cookie alert messages " if desired. I have disabled my cookie notifications since I do a lot of searching and accessing of web pages. Can anyone beat a 23K sized cookie.txt in C:\Program Files\Netscape\Navigator ? By the way, there is a good FAQ on " cookies " on the Netscape web site at: http://form.netscape.com/assist/security/faqs/cookies.html and, for even more detail on " cookies " see: http://www.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html Art Doherty
Guest guest
Meg. I have also had lyme diseases for 11 years. Has your daughter ever been tested for Babesia or echrilosis. At the lyme conference Dr. B said that most chronic lyme patients have a co-infection. I just found out this Christmas that I have both babesia and echrilois. My doctor said that co-infections have to be taken care of oreles you will never get your life back. I just had a rough week. I hope Annie is feeling better. Take care,
Guest guest
Dear , Where are you doing the Hyperbaric treatments at? My daughter did 6 weeks of treatment in Jan. and Feb. in Chico, CA and we feel she is much better. Out of a wheelchair and really doing better, not 100% by any means but every little bit helps. She has had Lyme for 11 years. Meg >From: ranlin@... > >I have had lyme disease for 4 years. Like most others,I went from a very functional life to a couch potatoe. Very disabled. Guest guest
Anywhere on the east coast that has these " chambers " ? What does it cost? I'm sure insurance doesn't cover right? Gail
Guest guest
Gail, There's two chambers in Reno, NV. I used one for 6 weeks. Then I returned to the Eastcoast. I'm going back out at the end of summer. I'm SATURATED with Lyme. The Dr. I will be using uses the chamber along w/antibiotics and other procedures to " invite " the Lyme to " come out and play!
