Guest guest
Hi Reid, Boy are you right, I hate when people say to me how good I look, when I know if they shoved me I would land on the floor I am so tired and ill. At least this disease could do with all the other damage is make us look like we are sick. LOL Connie
Guest guest
I know what you mean. I was just at my future sister-in-law bridal shower. Everyone one was telling me how good I look and asking when I am going back to work!!!!! Little do they know I spent an hour and a half on getting ready. (Hair, lots of makeup) I also orded a new outfit. I guess I did look good, but I didn't feel it.

Guest guest
Hi , Wasn't it Crystal who quoted Lamas, saying, " It is better to look good, then to feel good. " ???? Sometimes I think that is right. I have gained so much weight, you would not catch me dead at a dog show, let alone a family gathering. Seems the more meds for depression, the more weight I gain. Guest guest
, Since your brother is getting married and you are in the wedding, guess you just could not refuse to go. Well, you go to that wedding and have a ball, chubby or not. Too much is said about weight, and we at least have an excuse why we are growing bigger, many others don't. I am sorry if I sounded shallow about the whole weight thing, it just has been preying on my mind lately as the weather is getting nice and I am going to have to go out and buy some much larger summer clothes. Guest guest
Hi Reid, That low temperature thing is 's disesease. or syndrome. You have to take your temp 3-5 times a day for a month or so. We have doctor hre in Michigan who treats, there is only one med for it, I can't remember what it is. Connie
Guest guest
Hi Reid, Yes, I recall seeing that, maybe I should discuss with the doctor again. But......I have been so hungry lately, and this darn pain med I take requires food, or gastrointestinal upsets. I have to accept a lot of the blame for the weight, at least lately. Hate to take another pill unless positively necessary. I think I run a low temp, but I mostly forget to take it. I have felt feverish when herxing, took my temp and it was normal. Hugs, Marta >> Martha, You don't sound shallow at all. Weight is a big issue with me also. I also had to buy larger sizes. It's alittle depressing, but just think noone knows what your tag says expect you. I think when people gain weight and wear there tight cloths they look heavier. If you buy your actually size you look better. Feel better. We are all beautiful even if we have alittle extra weight on us. Guest guest
Hi Reid and Connie, I'm on Armour Thyroid for low body temp. I don't think I could have made it thru the winter without it. My body temp is usually 96.2, but my thyroid tests come back normal. Plus between the Armour Thyroid and an anti-yeast diet I've lost over 40 pounds! The weight loss has helped with the joint pain. But since I look better I get " you must be feeling all better " too! Personally, I'd rather be chubby and healthy (LOL)! Love,
Guest guest
LOL, I must admit to 10 lbs. overweight when I got Lyme too! Guest guest
Thanks , You are right, true beauty is within, guess I should not be so obsessed. You know, in a way for me it is a good sign, that the depression has lifted and that I am feeling somewhat better. (That and all the postings I am making to this list lately!) Maybe, I have reached a point that I want to do something about this weight...hope I can. I bet you all eyes will be on you at your sis-in-law's wedding. What color are the gowns for the bridesmaids? BTW, anyone know where they sell some used circus tents? I need some new clothes.....just kidding! Hugs, Marta ----- > From: Prinny328@... > > >> > Martha, > You don't sound shallow at all. I want to look as nice as possible. My boyfriend said that I will still be most pretty girl there. He is a smart man. I bought a strapless bra that is also a coresset so it makes your waist smaller. For clothes I love to shop at Lerner New York. Alot of there knits run big and are soo comfortable. Also the prices are reasonable and if you hit a sale forget it. I think this is a sign that I'm feeling better also. I hope you all feel better.
Guest guest
Wow, , that's amazing! Good for you! I am also on Armour Thyroid for low body temps and also a no carb diet....but the weight loss isn't soething to write home about! Keep up the good work! At least when people look at you and say " you look good " , you don't have to take that as an insult!<G> Alison --
Guest guest
Hi , What dose of armor thryroid are you taking, just curious. How fast did the weight come off? I agree, much rather be healthy too. I am sure though that much of my pain is due to the overweight. Guest guest
Hi Marta, I started at 30 mg, but I would still shiver uncontrollably. The only thing that would raise my body temp were extremely hot showers. The doctor raised it to 60 mg a day, and it's helped a lot! I still feel cold all the time, but it's much better. The weight came off slowly, over the period of about 6 months. I know the Armour thyroid helped, but I think the diet made the biggest difference -- but it's so hard not to cheat and my diet is very limited! I'm limited to vegetables, meat, and rice. I found out I was allergic to wheat and corn, so that cuts out most carbs -- but it did get rid of my asthma! My yeast infection is so bad I can't even have fruit! But when I do " fall of the wagon " and cheat (pizza is one of my worst downfalls) I feel so crumby the next day I don't even want to cheat again for a long time. Hope your felling well,
