Hi ,

I have had Lyme for over 5 years. I would not be able to do anything if it

wasn't for abx. It is the only thing that keeps me from relapsing really bad.

Everyone I know that went off became much sicker than in the beginning, like

wheelchairs and canes and seizures. If it means the quality of life is better

and I have to take Diflucan, acidophilous, etc, the rest of my life I will.

My yeast is super sensitive to bread, fruit, any starch. So I am nearly

completely sugar free., as best as I can. it drives me nuts, even carrots

have too much sugar for me. Anyway the daily abx lets me enjoy my

granddaughters when I have the energy and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Hugs, hang in there,

Connie

Thanks for sharing that, Connie.

Sometimes it gets so hard to figure out what'a right and what's wrong.

I am already wheelchairbound and my mind seems like its only half there.

Without the abx I can't even have a decent conversation but I just get

so scared.

Again, thanks.

Hi ,

Keep your chin up. My lyme is getting slow so slow that it is sometimes hard

for me to tell. But I go back and read my other journals and know I am

proved. I woould never want to go back to those days.

Hugs and blesses to you,

Connie,

Dear Connie,

Maybe the thing is to re-evaluate how " good' we think " good " can get

once it is established that we have chronic late stage lyme. Maybe I am

looking for miracles????

I didn't think I was, but maybe I should also be happy with the progress

I have made and not measure it against who I used to be....I don't know.

At least I have good days now!

Hugs,

Alison

Hi Alison,

You are right, I get mad at what I was able to do in the past, but am thankful

I am at least this far. I was so sick for the first few years, I didn't care

if I lived or died. I just kept thinking, No one can be this sick and not

die. But now I am thankful for the few hours or a day that is ok now. This

disease is frightful. I know one of the doctors that wrote a huge report, in

one of the journals that stated that one months worth of IV's was all you

needed, but he stayed on IV's for 10 months for his Lyme. He is very well

known in the Lyme field research. But what a jerk.

Hope you have a few good days,

Hugs,

Connie

Dear Connie,

I know which jerk you are talking about, you must mean the ins

companies' boy! Its a sad situation. I happen to be incredibly lucky so

far with my ins company. The coordinator of benefits asked me why I was

on the IV for so long and i told her without it I have no brain, so to

speak so she has left me alone.

This month started the 5th year I have been REALLY ill...and the 10th

since my life was disrupted by illness. I still wonder about death alot,

in fact, I did it today in the supermarket and then had to run out

without my stuff because i started to cry, mostly out of guilt....but I

do admit i am better than I was 5 years ago!

Hugs,

Dear Alison,

I am lucky with my insurance company they have been great, but those

infectious disease doctors are complete morons here. I am glad you are doing

better, don't worry about the grocery store. I have those days too. I had a

screaming panic attack the other day, I thought someone was going to hit us.

My husband commented that it hasn't happened in a long time and that was

nice. He used to tell me to put a brown bag over my head so I wouldn't see

the traffic and scare him. It is a huge joke. Sometimes when we get in the

car, he will ask if it is a " brown bag day " . You have to keep that Lyme humor

going,

Hugs,

Connie

Dera Connie,

I am really happy you mentioned this! Not for you or hubby<G> but

because I have beciome really REALLY bad in the car and Carl and i

attributed it to a car accident we had in June....maybe we were wrong

and this is also just another lyme " thing " . At least if it IS a Lyme

thing I have a chance of getting over it!

Have a great day!

I think you are right about the Lyme paranoia, Lovette. Boy, you see, there

actually IS something good coming out of all this! We are actively and

effectively teaching

patience and tolerance to our men! We should be proud of our noble effort in

method-acting....too bad it ain't an act!<G>

Sweet dreams!
