Guest guest
RE: GULF WAR COMPENSATION ACT 2001 I agree. I did not ask for this stuff as it was forced upon us while on deployment during Operation Southern Watch. I still fall under the Gulf War umbrella clause but those that did not deploy to the region even after the Gulf War are left with nothing. I know to many that fall in that boat not the say, " wait a minute, this is not right! " We need to take care of the whole shebang. Heck even the Gulf Vets are still being treated like nuts cases. Guest guest
This very issue was raised before....more than once!.....when various related pieces of legislation were being touted. Those who pointed out the shortcomings regarding leaving out coverage for certain sick individuals were told they would be taken care of via amendments. Just goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you hear. RE: Digest Number 894 > RE: GULF WAR COMPENSATION ACT 2001 > > I agree. Guest guest
Dear Lesli, Perhaps we should pool all our hoarders valuable, priceless " stuff " and sell it to finance out trip to Denver to the OCF Conference! Harold has boxes of papers in the garage which have no relevance, an old (I mean REALLY old) desk, a broken copying machine, old manuals to things we no longer have as well as assorted office items no one wants. His explanation for keeping them is that SOMEDAY they will be worth a lot of $$. The same story at his office - broken refrigerator, broken office machines, etc. Ihave a separate office in thesame space that is neat as a pin - b/c I can't stand the clutter!! I am forever, throwing things away, cleaning out and facing his wrath for doing so. After 23 years of marriage, I turn a deaf ear and keep pitching. Gail P.S. The trait must be multi-generational as his father also hoards and lives in a clutter-filled house!
Guest guest
Go Gail! I have the same situation here and after a while I throw out stuff also! It is my husbnads problem if he doesn't get rid of stuff...I always let him know several times before throwing out things sothat he has a chance to do it himself, and then out it goes! It can get so bad in certain places that I cannot even clean because of the stuff. Oh Well, upward and onward. --- GPesses@... wrote: > Dear Lesli, > > Perhaps we should pool all our hoarders > valuable, priceless " stuff " and > sell it to finance out trip to Denver to the OCF > Conference! Guest guest
His > explanation for keeping > them is that SOMEDAY they will be worth a lot of $$. I do this one too! I have old pop cans and bottles and books and toys etc. all on the basis that they will be worth something!! Ha ha just to make a little humour about myself, even if It was worth something that would just reinforce my hoarding and I would be able to part with it. Sigh. Guest guest
Feel free to post a link to the supplier in the Links section, and announce it in the group. Occasional mentions of suppliers are fine, but discussions, pro and con, are discouraged, because they can become flame wars. We all welcome any links to good suppliers, so please let us all know. Anya, Would this include the occasional mention of 'finds'? i.e., if we come across a new or especially remarkable oil, can this be mentioned here to others? I think we've discussed this before and clearly there are liabilities if abused (i.e., if someone were to 'shill' for a supplier), but in general we know each other pretty well and if the privilige were abused I think it would become obvious and the problem discouraged or dealt with. Anyway, give this some thought and see if there could be a compromise in this area. Dorian
