Guest guest
I have tired blurred eyes for a day or so after shots. Seems I remember someone else saying the same thing but believe they were on the interferon then. But they suggested getting glasses from your local drug store for new glasses until treatments end. But Shane could be like the rest of us and really needs glasses because we are getting older. Heck when I was 40 I finally broke down and went to the eye doctor, well got my first pair and was driving that evening and never realized that those neon sign I saw everyday were a bright red and other brilliant colors, thought I was on drugs for just a moment. LOL [ ] We're still here... Hi everyone. Just wanted to let ya'll know we're still here. Shane goes back to the GI on Wednesday for a follow-up after the biopsy, and the eye doctor that day, too. Is anyone having side effects that have messed with your vision? Also, I think our dog is feeling the stress in the house. Cannibal (yes, we're just a wee bit weird) is such a good dog despite his name, but in the past week he's pooped twice in our living room while were gone. After these two delightful surprises we've started putting him in the utility room. Day before yesterday he peed all over the rug that his food and water dishes sit on, took the clothes (fresh from the dryer)off the dryer and balled them up. We dealt with that, but yeserday he pooped ON his dishes, took a sock (the one that always gets lost in the wash...have NO IDEA where he found this one..he's turned into Houdini) and put it in his water bowl, and just all around messed up the laundry room again. So, back in the laundry room for him today. Ya'll are not going to believe what he did today.... HE ATE THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE DOOR!!! When we got home, Cannibal was standing at the door hanging his head with his tail stuck between his legs. The @#$%^ & dog knows what he did is wrong!!! The damn dog has a life of luxury...doesn't work, is fed everyday, has a big bed that's as comfy as mine and Shane's, gets treats, has toys. He doesn't do anything but lay around and get rubbed and treated like a king. How do you reason with a four- legged shithead? It's not like I can send him to time-out or take away his allowance to pay for the door or anything. Any suggestions? I'll check back after we return from Home Depot to get a new door. I'm thinking steel this time... Hope everyone is doing well. Jen
Guest guest
Jen I have 3 labs and when I was going through the tx they were as stressed as the wife and kids. Sometimes it's hard to understand that are pets are extensions of our lives. It took cookie(my lap lab) 6 weeks after the txs to get back to normal. Guest guest
Nice story, Elaine. Yes, I think I can safely say that this chapter of my life will always be present. I, too, was a long-term responder, and I thank God for that. I see my fellows and often can't help but think, why me and not them? I intend to remain a part of this group and try to help those, just starting out and be and example that it CAN work, even though we know it doesn't work nearly as much as we would like. It's a life changing experience. Even though we know that odds are it will not kill us, yet it does kill many. It has led me to put aside many of the petty considerations of day to day life and appreciate what we have. Somebody told me, and this may be an old saying, but anyway Today is a gift from God, that is why they call it the present. -dz- -----Original Message-----From: Elaine ST.
