Guest guest
Yes, I know. We're jerks...haven't written, etc. We have had the roughest month. Shane was fired from work last month...very convenient since he was fired 4 days before they knew his tx was scheduled to start. I can't go into much more about it, but just that it was EXTREMELY convenient timing...the bastards. We've been dealing with attorneys, unemployment issues, Cobra (what a joke), and the delay in his tx. I hope everyone is doing well and I am going to read past posts this weekend to catch up on what is going on. By the way, before we became so self absorbed we learned of a man here in the Dallas area that is trying to schedule a hepper march to create awareness. Do ya'll know of anyone doing this type of thing before dealing with Hep C. Ya'll are in our thoughts and prayers. Gee, just writing this feels kinda like coming home. Guest guest
Oh I am glad to hear that Shane does start treatment, the sooner the better. My first week (actually first 3 days) was the hardest, but it has gotten easier from there. Some weeks are better that others, but in all I am doing fine. Tired would be my main complaint, but I can push myself if I must and do. But I make sure I come home and nap after work, otherwise the rest of my week falls apart until the weekend and regain the rest. I have become very resourceful at managing my time. Guest guest
Hang in there, . Hopefully they can help you out at the unemployment office. I found them very helpful to me when I was fired. Back towards the end of my drinking days, when I had a dui, I went in and told my boss (immediately after my review) that I would have to go on work release. The next day my boss's boss called me into his office and fired me. In Wisconsin it is not legal to fire somebody because they've been arrested or even convicted of a crime unless it is directly related to the job. The unemployment office provided me with free legal counsel and I sued the company for firing me. They then said it wasn't just because I was arrested, but that it (my drinking) had affected my work performance. I told my legal counselor about my review (which was favorable and written less than 24 hours before my termination) and he asked for a copy. They backpedaled and refused to provide it, saying that this was not related to job performance, but their policy on ethics/moral fiber, etc.). They realized they had backed themselves into a corner and we ended up arriving at an out of court settlement, which provided me with some monetary consideration and my record showing that I had quit and had not been terminated. Luckily, I had quit drinking by the time I got this settlement and made good use out of it. Keep pushing... -dz- <jenjenintexas@...> wrote: Yes, I know. Guest guest
I'll be praying for you and Shane. In my case the first night after my shot was kind of wicked. Like one of the worst days of the flu I've had. High fever, etc. It was never nearly that bad again. Good luck and keep us posted. -dz- <jenjenintexas@...> wrote: Yep, it's been rough. Guest guest
As far as Cobra, the problem I would have is how in the world am I going to pay the premiums when I just lost my job.. Right now my company pays about 70% of the total premium and I can barely afford the rest. –dz- Re: [ ] Tx , sorry about all going on, thats the way they did me at my last job. but why all the trouble with cobra i used it and they were great with my doc. anyway hope all gets better. · Rick
