Guest guest
Well I had my first consultation with Gastroenterology Dept yesterday. The doctor said there's still a chance that I could be in Stage 1 and not need treatment, but agreed with me that because I was 49 when I got Hep C and because I got it from a blood transfusion, statistics show that I am probably more likely a candidate for treatment. They are so backed up (lots of us HCV sufferers) that I can't get the biopsy until 18 Aug. I'm nervous about that, but I have somebody that will go with me. I am much more concerned about the treatment to follow (I broke into tears when explaining that my husband just died in January and I have nobody at home). But I know I can depend on all of you to see me thru it. It feels good to have taken the first step. C
