Guest guest
I do know that my decision is proably not the right one,but its alot more than just my stupid docs.I have been doing the treatments for going on 7 months. I have been clean of the virus into my 3rd month. I feel ok, but my doctors have overlooked some things and i have only gotten more sick.I can not find anyone to help me with my blood test every week and my doctor visits and all the other meds they want me to take. However i am getting the Interferon and ribv. paid for.Since my doctors keep screwing up it is costing me alot more money.I have talked to people that haven't gotten sick as i have been. I lost 55 lbs in 5 months and my doctor asks me why?I told him i don't sweat, he says i am saving money on deorderant.Come to find out it was my thyroid. I have had throid problems for many years and with these meds your thyroid needs to be monitored very carefully.I could go on ,but i have written this so many times. Its old!! Thank you for being concerned and i really do appreciate your e-mail.This was a hard decision for me and i did alot of soul searching and crying and so many different emotions. --- flanneryged <flanneryged@...> wrote: > YOU WOULD BE VERY FOOLISH TO QUIT,I DID > INTERFERON/RIBAVIRIN.3 YEARS > AGO AND HATED IT.ALTHOUGH IT DIDNT CLEAR IT DID > CLEAN ME UP.BEFORE THE > VIRUS WAS RAMPANT.STICK IT OUT. > NOT LIKING YOUR DOC IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD,AT > TIMES I HATED EVERY~ > ONE.DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOUR AND SEE IT THROUGH. > > > > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
, I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner. I truly feel you need to do what you are comfortable with. I am still on Synthroid due to the damage treatment did 4 years ago. There are many people who can't tolerate treatment and hopefully you will still be a sustained responder. I hope you are starting to feel better. Guest guest
Sharon, Thanks for the response. The way i have felt through these treatments i would rather have all my 6 kids all over again.I am in remission and i pray i will say that way.I have lived a good life and have no regrets. I can't or i'd go nuts.I do not drink and i do not smoke and i excerise faithfully. I don't eat alot ,but i eat healty.I don't have alot of stress in my life and i have a wonderful man who has been so supportive. But i look and feel like hell. I really didn't think i would get as sick as i have. I talked to alot of people who have done the treatments and had very little sides, so i thought or maybe i hoped i'd be the same.Anyway God is gonna see me through the rest of my life and when he is ready for me i am willing to go, but for now i have made my choice. Thanks for all the wonderful e-mails and wonderful jokes. You seem like an awesome woman . Good luck to you and yours, --- Sharon Zeis <szeis_1@...> wrote: > , I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner. Guest guest
I'm just a simple woman who was humbled by this disease. I had a rough time on treatment but it was manageable. I think if you are good to your liver you will probably be alright. You will feel better, it's going to take some time. How long have you been off treatment? sharon --- <royaltyjack@...> wrote: > Sharon, > Thanks for the response. Guest guest
What genotype are you? They often have success with 6 month treatment. You said you'd have your kids over again. Childbirth I think was easier than treatment, but the teenage years I'd trade for another year on treatment.lol Sharon --- <royaltyjack@...> wrote: > I have two more weeks of the meds and i am done!!So > i > have done a total of 71/2 months.I will take good > care > of myself.
