I am currently discussing " appropriate " treatment with the CDC and the ALDF. My question to them was that arthritis develops in " untreated " individuals. BUT if the treatment is anywhere from 10 to 30 days and you get " treated " for something else then you are technically a " treated " individual and would therefore NOT develop arthritis (possibly). You could have arthralgias but possibly not arthritis. They have said that that is not published protocol anymore. I thought I remember Steere having that in his recent publication.
