Subject: [] Low Grade Fevers

Is it common for people who are recently diagnosed with CMT to run

low grade fevers???

Thanks,

Vickie

During that time he seemed to just feel bad all over. I remember him crying

at night tell us that he was not feeling good.

I wonder if your daughters back pain is from a change of gait?

Becky:

Hi. Vickie Queen e-mailed you reguarding low-grade fevers. It is my 16 yr

old daughter, , who was diagnosed with CMT on 4-4-01. We are still

waiting for the blood test to come back.(said it would take 3 to 4 weeks to

get results. has been running the low fevers on and off since last

week.

She also has problems with her lower back hurting all the time. Has your

son experienced that problem?

We are just starting with all this and of course as a parent I tend to panic

at any little thing. How old is your son and how long has he been diagnosed

with CMT?

I haven't taken to the Chiro yet, but I will be very soon. Thank you for

your input......

is l6 and was just diagnoised a few weeks ago. This is all still

very new and confusing.

It really helps me to be able to talk to someone out there that has been

dealing with this. As a mother it's heart breaking as I'm sure you know.

>>>>>>>>>Hi , my son is 11. His back hurts him off and on. Just last nite,

he and his sister were watching 102 dalmations in his room and his little sister

came running in the frontroom to tell me he wanted me fast. I went in and he was

on his back on the bed and had a spasm/cramp in his lower back and could not

move or roll him self over, he was crying with pain. I massaged his back and

gently turned him on his back. He then relaxed. He has never had cramps that bad

before in his back. He was diagnosed over a year ago. He gets cramps in his

legs and feet and hands, hands when he is doing a lot of school work, or

drawing. His heels are starting to turn in and I think its time for AFO.

(braces) As parents we all panic at the unknown. I hate to see him going through

this, but all I can do is get him the best medical care possible and support him

and help him when needed. He has type 2 CMT. I have it too. I tell him all the

time he may never have it progress any farther then it is now and thats what I

pray for. Its a scary time for your daughter and you too. READ, READ READ!!!

Everything you can find on CMT. Go to the archives and read posts and please go

to the links/bookmark section at and check out the CMT info there.

Subject: [] Low Grade Fevers

I have had low grade fevers and low back pain....But also have been

having the bladder and kidney trouble also for the past couple of

years....I was sick the summer before last for a almost 6 months....The

Doc sent me in for a (pylogram) I believe that was what it was

called....took xrays of my stomache shot dye in my arm...He thought

possiby the muscle wasn't doing its job getting all the urine out and it

was backing up causing bactera to build up and that was causing blood in

my urine and the low backpain and mild fever.....all turned out ok they

said but I still do have some minor pain and slight fever at times. My

Grandson has had this also and he is 8 also has type 1 CMT as do I.
