Guest guest Posted April 24, 2001 Report Share Posted April 24, 2001 Dear Murilo, I am 45 years old and was diagnosed when I was 6. I have always been what is called a " heel-walker " . Since the feet muscles are too weak to really assist with the weight support, the heel has to absorb most of the pressure. For this reason, padding the inside of the shoe or brace helps relieve any aching or burning, as does taking more rest periods. You are not alone. Hope this helps....
