I'm just a new member here, so please call me Sheryl, this is my real name. I don't hide the fact that I have this disease, I just live with it. I've done 24 wks of pegetron, but, that was Nov 04 - June 05. My geno type is 1b, and the doctor made a mistake or soemthing, as I was suppose to be on tx for 48 wks. So, I managed tx very well, just headaches were the worst part of the trip. Now, my viral load is extremely high, and went to the specialist in London, as I live in Windsor, and was suppose to start tx for the year. I was a little dissappointed when the Doc said he won't give me tx, just to feel better, and it didn't matter that my viral load is so very high, as I don't have cihrossis (sp). I am at my witts end. I felt so much better after the last run. Like a new person, and I feel this is worth the try, and PegCare, SheringCanada is willing to pick up the tab. This Doc is

head of TP team in London, and suppose to be an expert. ???? So, now what?? I can only ask to see another doc here in Windsor, that I know will help, if I can only get a referral, which my family doc doesn't hand out lightly. I may be able to get one from London, as I still have to call for my bloodwork, and I am getting it mailed to me, so may as well get a referral. I want rid of this, and I don't see any reason why I couldn't go Undectectable, as I did before, I was under 50 (viral load), same thing. So, 55 now, and feel awful most all the time. This doc said the tx is too harsh, etc. I was and am very upset. I know what and how it is. I tryed to argue some, nicely, but to no avail. Sorry bout this long post, just wanted you all to know a little about me. Will read posts, and see what's going on here. I haven't been in any groups for so long, best to be here, recommended highly by

a dear Friend who cares ;) So, I will be reading on.Happy Easter EveryoneSheryl :)------------------------------------

Sheryl,Welcome! Great group here, KS Don kinda keeps us all in line and is a great source for information and references. The difference in med systems, some of us may not understand the challenges you're up against, please be patient. When I first started reading your post I thought "Just go to another Dr!", then realized you're in the UK, know your system there works a bit different.Med systems be damned, we're all behind you, and will help where we can.SteveHep-C dragon slain by Pegasys, see how!!!https://www.createspace.com/3421422

SherylGlad to see that you finally got here!! This is a really great bunch of people, not like that last site....Don't understand, your viral load is only 50???? 50 what?? When I first began the last treatment, I was over 6 - 8 million and unfortunately the beginning of cirrhosis.Let the gang know what the ALT and AST etc readings are when you get them. They'll be able to help interpret them.Off to the Hospital in Vancouver tomorrow and both of my office computers are down/toast/not working. Hopefully my son can fix them when he gets here today.GloriaFrom: Sheryl <sherylb@...> Sent: Fri, April 2, 2010 10:25:45 PMSubject: [ ] Good Evening
