Guest guest
This is week two for me.... After showing the doctor the full scope of my range of motion yesterday I can barely hobble today. Oh man it hurts. I had the surgery June 26th...... I would think it would be less painful at some point. THey also had to do some ligament work on me..... beside taking out the torn cartilage.... maybe tomorrow will be better. Did you have bad days? Yesterday was alot better than today is.....Thanks [ ] Nees Hi I had a tough time the first week after they took some torn cartilage out of my knee in April. Lucky I had a bunch of anti-inflammatory med on hand - it really helped, as well as a lot of cold packs. After the second week it was much better and therapy has brought me almost back to normal. I know what you are going through (stairs were no fun). I tried to send this from work being logged in to my home server but it didn't but it came back so here it is again. Guest guest
Hi Yes, I had bad days. The pain increased for a few days after the operation and had me worried but they said that was normal. A compression bandage will help. It is like a big tube sock that you pull up around the knee and helps keep the swelling down. I took a week off from work and stayed off my feet as much as possible. I also had a real tough time getting in and out of my truck for a while. After I was progressing one of the therapists stretched the joint a little too much and I had increased pain and swelling for a couple of days. He said to tell him when it hurt a lot - I should have said stop before I did. I think he figured I was a wimp and pushed a little more. As I said - the anti-inflammatory med saved me and they never prescribed any - just pain pills, which I only took a couple of. It will take some time so be patient. Guest guest
I am convinced this is one of those one day at a time things.... I am glad though that the surgery itself is over. Guest guest
Hang in there . Before you know it, You, Jan & Diane will be running Dave down. The Phoenix Metro area had our first rain in over 120 days last night. We didn't get any at our house. But they got hit hard to the east & south of our house & they got some to the north of us. All we got was heavy rain & a lot of lighting here at the house. Over on the east vally & in Phoenix had several wind-shears that did a lot of damage, taking out some power poles, sighn's & took some roof's off. They had a lot of damage at Sky-Harbor aipport, They had to close it down last night & said it wouldn't be open till this morning. I watched all but the first 1 1/2 hours of the race, I thank if the race was a few laps longer Jeff might have won it. ce ran out of gas before he got to Victory lane Terry Jannewilms43@... wrote: Hi everyone..How are yall doing??
