A good laugh. Well, my screenreader had fun with the vibrator thing, and I had

to laugh. But, I never thought of a harley quite that way. now, when Gidget and

I do the Run For the Dogs fundraiser this coming summer like we do every year,

and all the Harleys get together for the run and to donate to guide dogs Of

America, I will have to not smile as each bike rides up to us.

greg's labs came in today. Still undetectible and his wbc is coming up. it was

2.4 and now is 3.2 and his last shot and pills were on Nov. 28th. His happy self

is returning slowly but surely!

gidget and i misjudged a turn last Monday, and we slid down a four to five-foot

embankment. I landed on my feet somehow on the sidewalk. the fall wasn't bad; it

was that sudden stop at the bottom that kinda hurt us a bit, but we are ok now.

Poor dog; i should have paid more attention but oh well, life is always

interesting traveling with a guide dog.

Everyone take care.

Being a hometown boy, we're very proud of our Harley's, but we like to joke about them too. Like the stereotypical:

What's the difference between a harley and a hoover?

You can only put one dirtbag on a hoover... :)

Really though, they (the harley riders) are very active in many charitable events. Our former governer (Tommy ) and former Packer coach (Mike Holmgren) participated in their March of Dimes run, which raises tons of money. Go ahead and smile as they ride up (but you can keep your thoughts secret) LOL. I'm glad Greg is still doing well and also glad that your and gidget's spill wasn't any more serious. Any more word on Gidgets condition? I know you had ruled out one possibility, but they were still looking into others. -dz-angel <angelsusanne@...> wrote:

Hi, DZ and everyone. Gidget has gone for one week without prednisone, first

time in a year and a half, and so far, so good. if she worsens, we will have to

have a test called ACTH done to check for 's disease.

thanks for asking about her. Everyone take care.

Hi, Diane. Yes, i think some kind of angel is on my shoulder. My son gave

me a keychain and I hooked it to gidget's leash. it shows a guardian angel and

says " I am by your side to protect and guide. " Appropriate for a guide dog's

leash, huh?

Hi again, everyone. gidget has now gone for sixteen days with no prednizone. Now

the vets say she may have Cushings disease caused by oral steroids. No one knows

for sure and if she shows no symptoms in a couple more weeks, i am not putting

her through the testing. If she is showing symptoms, of course, i will have her

tested. Always something but right now, she is doing fine.

greg sees his doc on the second of Jan.

Happy holidays to one and all from all of us here.

We just got an older dog (14) into rescue with Cushing's. We opted not to

do the treatment except for basics, we have had him for close to a year now.

He is still the best counter surfer in the world and boy can he leap. Just

the sweetest boy ever, he may never get adopted for his age and disease will

scare people off, but he will be surrounded with love when his time comes.
