Hi Jan and everyone:

I haven't been online because I have been running up to the hospital for

2 weeks for my Mom. She got dizzy and fell and broke her hip. She had

surgery and after the surgery she became very disoriented .......

Physical Therapy came i and stood her up and her eyes rolled back and

she passed out. They were there to catch her....I was so worried that

something happened to her head when she fell. After 4 days of her seeing

things and yelling her mind came back..... It was horrible... When I

have time I will tell you all about this hospital stay from Hell......

Those Nurses will remember me... LOL.... Now she is in rehab.. to learn

how to walk again.... We are having a meeting tomorrow morning to

discuss her after care.... I don't think she can live alone and I am

very upse because with all of my health problems I don't know if I can

care for her by myself. My heart is torn at this time..... I want the

best for her but I am asking myself if that is what I can give her......

My heart is very heavy because again I am doing this alone. My sister is

off on a 3 day bus trip and I am it!!!!!!!! OK Thanks for listening!! I

fell better to get this out there in the open.......

Thank you for your kind words. I went to see my Mother and she wasn't

doing as well as she was yesterday.. The nurse informed me that her

Hemoglobin is low and she needs a transfusion. I am just so worried

about her. She looks at me as if she is so scared... This is not getting

better for her. I have to go in to have a conference in the morning at

the rehab. I want to thank you for putting us on the prayer

list.... There is a lot of power in prayer... Thank you for listening...

Terry!!!!!! You Go Boy!!!!! That will be a nice Christmas present for

you... No more Shots! I hope that you have great result from all that

you have been thru..... 5 more to go you say???? !!!! yipeeeeeeeee

Diane is there any possibility that your mom has suffered either a CVA or

TIA stroke? My prayers are with you. And I do understand about wanting the

best there can be and wondering if you are up to the task

Remember there are all types of programs that help in this regard to give

respite to the care givers many times. Rest for the care givers is

essential.

Hi everyone. it seems that the subject line of this

just keeps on going and on and so ihave been deleting

messages for days, and now i see that i missed some

very important stuff! i wish we would all try to

remember to change the subject line to fit what we are

going to write about. Thanks to all.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for the concern and support that you have shown for me and

my Mom at this time.. My Mom did not have a TIA.... She is having a bit

of a problem with her Hemoglobin... They were going to transfuse her and

then it came back up... Now it dropped again...... I am just so

exhausted with the running around. I have to be there for her at this

time. She will be 86 next month and she has all of her facultys back

again..... I think it might have been the anesthesia. She just looks so

frightened.... I also did heath care work... I was a private duty, state

certified Home Health Aide before I became disabled...... I saw it all

and worked with almost every type of thing out there.... I was drawn to

the elderly.. They ask for nothing and appreciated every thing that you

do for them..... They just want someone to talk to or some type of

recognition. Bless their little hearts!!!!! That was my most fullfilling

experience with health care. They need to be Treated with dignity....

lots of health care workers don't show respct for older people. MY

Mother had this very experience 2 days ago. One of the workers hollared

at her and told her that she already bathed her when in fact she

didn't..... She needs assistance to get under her arms because of the

pulling on her hip. When she told me this I was livid. My Mother

reported it and she was so scared she was crying. I went to the dirctor

and told her if this ever happened again I would have the womans job. I

also told her she better never come near my Mother again... That is why

I stay all day. To prevent this type of thing from happening, and it

happened anyway!!!!!

Yes I know about the respite programs.. Thank you for mentioning it. As

far as gray hairs!!! I could put a bunch of names in a hat and it

wouldn't matter who I picked out.. I would be correct no matter who it

was....;o LOL....

you and your mom remain in our prayers. I

applaud your taking to task the nurse that

abused your mom. Thats awful. I would do

the very same thing in your shoes.

You know I have rather unique hair.

Each strand is not the same color

over all I am a brunette but some hairs

are more golden others have just hint of

auburn sheen to them Now the grey, I don't

want monotone color hair. Now

can Lady Clairol do that.

Good Morning EveryOne!!!!!! ;o

I want to start by telling everyone that my Mom had a transfusion

yesterday and she had good color to her skin and her hands were warm

once again.... They were like icicles since the surgery.....

Sharon and -dz- Thank you much for the great articles..... Sharon I

used to love to fish.... We belonged to a fishing Club a few years back

and I used to do pretty good. Even won the pool for the biggest fish. ;o

Terry it sounds like is on the right track. Hard way to learn. I

am sure that he will remember this. Has the girl tried to contact

him???? I would hang right up on her face if I were you or Susy...... I

know... I am bad!!!! LOL. there is a hair dye that puts different

shimmers of color in the hair. When it comes to me I will post it.

Hanna I hope you are OK..... Please let us know what happened to you and

that you are ok now. Jan I Love you too...... My girlfriend is coming

there soon for Marty Gra and I was wondering if you could get her up on

the balconies ;o....... She loves it there.... Hope everyone has a

Really it adds the various highlights and demensions and depth to color.

Man I tell you if I do this I want totally natural looking

hair colo. I can not handle the thought of dull lifeless monotone

colored hair. Some people you look at their hair and its obvious

its a bad coloring job. Not for me no thanks.

I am so glad your mom is warming back up and has some color back

that is wonderful. Our prayers are with you through it all.
