Dave in my case it's Pituitary we know this to be true doing an ACTH Stim. test.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACTH_stimulation_test

They test your Cortisol levels first then give you a shot that acts like the

message from your Pituitary that tells your Adrenals to make more Cortisol.

In 30 min.'s they test your blood Cortisol if it goes up very little not even

double your Adrenals are over works and can't make more.

If your levels shoot up like mine did it means your Adrenals work just don't get

told to work. My levels went up over 3 x's what my level was before the shot.

Men with low Testosterone the stress of this over works ones Adrenals and the

treatment for this is to go on HC Cortef meds 5 mgs 4x's a day or every 4 hrs.

Doing this slows down your Adrenals and supports your body so your Adrenals can

heal. If you catch this faster you can try coming off the HC meds in 6 months

to see if your Adrenals will work again. Some men were sick so long before a

Dr. figured this out that the Adrenals can't heal and the guy is on HC meds for

life.

Low Cortisol levels can make ones Thyroid not work right you need Cortisol to

carry the Thyroid hormones out of the blood into the cells. So labs look good

but one is Hypo. This is why when one starts on HC meds they need to go up on

the dose very slow starting with 2.5 mgs and going up 2.5 mgs every 3 days until

they are doing 5 mgs 4x's a day or every 4 hrs. If you jump on the max dose you

will feel like your having a heart attack the HC will act like Cortisol and dump

all the Thyroid in your blood down into your cells and make you feel dam hyper

and sick.

The guys at Dr. 's forum are using Natural Pregnenolone Cream and some are

finding doing high dose's of it they can come off HC meds and lower there

Thyroid meds. I would not try this with out a Dr. I feel them guys are playing

with fire.

Go read this thread I use Preg. cream been on it 2 months now I find it helps.

My HC meds last longer and I don't eat up my Testosterone meds so fast.

Now if you look at this link a Hormone Tree you will see at the start of the

tree is Cholesterol you need this to make hormones then your see next up the

tree Pregnenolone from this it converts into DHEA,Progesterone,Cotrisol and so

on.

So Dr. as found the best way to fix low hormones like the above is to just

add Preg. Cream and let it convert into what your body needs.

If the above link will not work it's in the Files Section called " Steroid

Tree.gif "

Thanks Phil.

I appreciate your thorough response.

I will put pregnenolone on my list for sure. It sounds like it could help me.

I do feel terrible on DHEA and that is only one down from pregnenolone so I hope

I don't have the same results.

You will not feel bad doing this it will only convert into what your body needs.

Never more like taking supplements. Even for Prog. men should not take this it

is a feminizing hormone but we need it so doing Preg. gives you just what you

need never more.
