Guest guest
We made it! Got up at 5 AM and climbed the hill in the dark (about a 30 minute climb). Actually there was sufficient moonlight to see the trail where there were no evergreen trees. We did have to use flashlights on those parts. It was clear with a cold breeze when we got up to the ledge at 6:45 and the sun appeared over the horizon at 7:12. It took about two minutes to get entirely above the horizon and was really beautiful. If my pictures come out I will attempt to send one. I brought along my backpacker stove and made hot chocolate, beans and fried eggs. A great start to the year. I also toast to us all that we may be happy, appreciative, and of improving health this year. Dennis from NH
